Chapter 11: No Alex!

"What are you doing for your project Han?".

"We're doing like a penguin themed party, because I love penguins so much, as you know!" She exclaims. It's true. Hannah had a weird liking towards penguins. "What about you two?" Hannah asks.

"We changed our mind last minute so initially we were going to do a princess party and now we're doing like a skateboard park kinda party" I tell her.

"Oooo that sounds sick" Hannah tells me excitedly.

We continue walking ahead when Mason walks up to us. He fist bumps Alex, he waves at Hannah and he places his hands on my waist and hugs me. I was really shocked when he did that, it also became a bit awkward with Hannah there so I just pulled away.

"Hi Mason" I say.

"Hey, you look fantastic today" He looks at me.

"Oh thanks and you remember Hannah" I motion at Hannah.

"Yeah of course how are you Hannah?".

Hannah blushes, "I'm good you?".

"I'm good too thanks. I heard there's this new restaurant like a mile or so away, I wondering if we should go there?" Mason asks us all.

"Han?" I ask her.

"Yeah I don't mind at all" She smiles.

"Neither do I" Alex adds in.

"Then we'll go there" I smile.

"Great, Alex I'm taking my car and I think you should also take yours and bring Hannah with you. I'm taking Sophia" Mason tells Alex. Uh oh. I can't go with Mason, Hannah has to go with Mason! How will 'Hason' become a thing if I'm always in the middle?

"Why don't we all just go in the same car Mason? There's no point in taking two cars when we can all fit in one. There's no logic behind taking two cars" I say bringing my argument to the table.

"Yeah she's right dude, let's go in your car" Alex agrees and Mason sulks.

"Fine".

The car ride is quite awkward and I'm not entirely sure why. I try to spark a conversation between Hannah and Mason but Mason just doesn't seem to be putting the effort in. But that doesn't mean to say that I'm going to stop trying.

We arrive at the restaurant and I'm very happy to see that there's outdoor seating as well as indoor! I also wanted to sit outside whilst eating.

We walk inside and the waitress asks us how many people there are. We tell her four.

"And where would you like to be seated?" She asks us.

"Could we sit outside please?" I ask her nicely.

"Of course" She smiles at me and she takes us outside to a four seated table with an umbrella type of thing at the top for shade.

Alex sits in the first seat, I sit next to him, Hannah sits next to me and Mason sits at the end. Something tells me he didn't want to sit right at the end.

The waitress hands us the menus and attends another table.

"Hannah, what are you ordering? I ask her.

"I think I might order a grilled cheese sandwich, I'm not massively hungry anymore".

"What you ordering princess?" Alex asks me.

"A small pizza" I tell him.

The waitress comes back asking if we're ready to order, Alex orders a burger and chips and Mason orders the same as me.

Whilst we wait for our food, Hannah focuses the conversation on my flowers.

"Alex those flowers you got for Soph are so gorgeous!" She exclaims.

"Wait. What flowers!?" Mason asks, almost angrily.

"He um got me flowers as a form of apologising to me because of what happened last week" I say shyly.

"How. Nice. Of. You. Man" Mason says reluctantly. I can sense some tension going on between Mason and Alex. I wonder what's wrong.

Our food arrives and we all instantly indulge ourselves into our food. It's almost as if we had never eaten before. I eat like that anyway, hungry or not!

After we finish our food, we pay for it and we walk over to a few benches and we just sit there and chill for a bit.

"Hey you know what we should do?" Alex says

"What?" I ask him.

"There's this place like an hour away in Seattle and it's got like loads of water sports and I think the four of us should go there. They've also got a hotel right next to it so we could even stay there a night" Alex tells us.

"No Alex! Absolutely not! We have so much work to get done for this project!" I sound like a mother right now.

"Come on princess, we have a whole week off starting tomorrow. We'll have extra time to get things done. Nothing will happen if we miss a day or two of work".

"Alex. We have to find clients, rent the park, organise the food, handle the expenses and a lot more stuff. We need to get this done".

"And we will. Let's just for for two days. That's it" He looks at Mason and Hannah, "What do you two think?" He asks them.

"I seriously don't mind, come on Hun, it'll be so fun!" Hannah tries to convince me.

"I'll come if you go Sophia" Mason says to me.

"Fine. I'll go" I roll my eyes and Hannah gives me a hug.

"I can't wait!" Hannah says to me.

"Neither can I" I say unenthusiastically.

Oooo I sense drama at this water sports park thing...

I also sense a love triangle... Yay (!)

Also I legit just realised Alex and Mason whilst typing this chapter. I knew Alex and Mason sounded so similar to me and I was watching WOWP whilst writing this chapter and I instantly remembered!

Anyway, it's 12:35am, I should 'sleep'.
