the light that slipped under the curtains in park jimin's room at 7:30 that morning wasn't what woke him. it wasn't even the smell of food his mother was making.
he stared at his phone screen, thumbing over the text message he'd just gotten. it was sent to his groupchat, which only consisted of himself and his two best friends.
from: yoongi
today.
that was all it said. jimin wondered if hoseok's heart was beating as fast as his was.
across the town, hoseok stared sleepily at the message. he rubbed his eyes so he could see clearly. he heard the muffled sound of his parents talking in the kitchen; he ignored it. when his mind was finally able to make his eyes focus on the text, his heart beat quickened. he wondered if jimin was as happy as he was.
and yoongi, min yoongi.
the mastermind behind their little plan. he was already up, dressed and showered, waiting for his bus. he wondered how the other two were taking the sudden clarification that the message gave.
for the first time in months, yoongi smiled while getting on the bus.
