It had been four years since Iwaizumi had become a mute.
It had been four years since Oikawa married Iwaizumi.
It had been four years since the day their lives were turned from full of hope, beauty, and happiness, they traveled to the dark side of the moon.
~Flashback~
It was their honeymoon, Iwaizumi and Oikawa had decided to go to America. They visited the state of New York.
"Iwa-chan, let's visit the Statue of Liberty! We'll take a ferry, it'll be fun!" Oikawa said.
Iwaizumi smiled and nodded as he kissed Oikawa's forehead. "Anything you want. I love you." He replied.
"I love you too, Iwa-chan." Oikawa answered.
They took the ferry hand in hand, fingers entwined together. They were the perfect essence of the ideal couple. The sail was going smoothly until Oikawa decided to reenact a scene from Titanic.
"I'll be Jack and you be Rose!" Oikawa yelped.
Iwaizumi sighed and said okay. But a huge wave came right as they struck the pose. Iwaizumi fell, into the water.
Despite his athleticism, he couldn't swim.
"SOMEONE HELP!!! MAN OVERBOARD!!! MAN OVERBOARD!!" Oikawa yelled, as he jumped in after his drowning husband.
The two were eventually saved, Iwaizumi in critical condition. It ended with him not dying, but becoming a mute due to the water destroying his vocal cords. (A/N: sorry if the medical terms are off)
~End Flashback~
Oikawa sighed in bed next to Iwaizumi. He wished so much to be able to hear his lovers voice say "I love you." Just one more time. He watched his husbands' chest heave up and down as he slept. He looked at his beautiful face and remembered his voice. He wanted it, so much.
Iwaizumi woke up, jolting up and breathing heavily. Oikawa said, "What's the matter?!" Ready to interpret the sign language he learned.
Iwaizumi touched his neck and have a huge grin, before opening his mouth.
"I can finally say I love you again."
