Devoted ║ Liam Dunbar

║Chapter 2 ║

That was until Liam Dunbar came strutting over, stunning everybody and getting past the two.

''Holy shit.'' I murmered.

''That was luck!!'' Malia all of a sudden hollered out, catching everyone's attention. ''Oh no, Malia don't get involved.'' I heard Stiles mumble out as I pursed my lips at what she had just got them into. ''Do over!'' She then called out as I crossed my arms over my chest, sitting back down to avoid any unneccesarry attention. ''Sweetheart there's no 'do overs.' This is practise!'' Coach responded as my eyes flickered over to Liam who's eyes were fixated on Malia, looking stunned.

''10 bucks on Scott And Stiles.'' Malia then cockily responded as I bit down on my lip to hold back laughter. Coach immediatly raised his hand, pointing towards her. ''I'll take that action.'' With that Malia smirked, looking happy with herself and coach began yelling at Scott, Stiles and Liam.

''This is gonna be fun.'' I sighed out as Liam ran over to the bench, snatching his water bottle, his eyes landing on me for a second as he took a swig. My heart slightly thumped a little harder than usual as I flashed him a sweet, small smile to which he returned leaving me blushing and smiling like a child.

He probably doesn't even know my name, but that's okay, he smiled at me.

I felt Malia watching me intensly as she could literally hear my heart rate but I chose to ignore her to avoid getting any more flustered than I already was.

Instead, my eyes glued to the pitch to notice a charging Scott and Stiles heading fast towards Liam who was sprinting at an equally fast pace. My heart rate sped up with anticipation as Stiles bardged into him before Scott full on bashed into Liam's side causing him to do a literal flip in mid air.

''Woah.'' I breathed out before he landed with a thud and a crack making many people, including myself gasp and stand up. Despite someone (Malia) cheering and Scott and Stiles grinning I think they soon realised what had actually happened to the whining Liam on the floor.

''I'm alright.. I'm alright.'' Liam mumbled as he attempted to stand on his own two feet but it wouldn't work. Ah god, I feel so bad for the young boy. ''We'll take him to the um nurse.'' Scott mumbled, him and a guilty looking Stiles getting Liam by each side and helping him limp over to the nurses.

''You should go. See what happened.'' Malia nudged my shoulder. ''Uh- okay.'' I bit down on my lip, knowing she was teasing me for my racing heart beat when Liam came over.

Jogging softly, I came up behind the three boys as I frowned walking next to them. ''What the hell happened out there?''

''What do you think happened- we basically killed him.'' Stiles over reacted as I rolled my eyes watching them sit the red faced boy down on the locker benches.

''You might need to take him to the hospital.'' I awkwardly spoke as Scott was quick to agree. ''Yeah- oh- uh I'll be back in a minute.''

''Where the hell is he going?'' Stiles muttered obviously miffed off about the full incedent. ''You're asking me.'' I breathed out taking a seat.

''Hey- um I'm pretty sure I'm fine. I better go back home.'' Liam began. ''Uh- I think you should go to the hospital.'' I awkwardly breathed out as he frowned shrugging. ''Its not that bad.''

I raised my eyebrow up at the struggling boy, ''really?'' I challenged him a little. ''Alright.. I'll go.'' I saw a tiny smile appear on his face as his eyes met mine for a second but it quickly dropped, obviously worried about his injury.

''I'm sure it's not that bad..'' I quietly spoke as Stiles frantically texted somebody on his phone. ''Hopefully.'' He breathed out. ''I really wanted to play on the Lacrosse team this year.''

''And you will- it will heal, and you'll be straight back on the field.'' I shrugged it off seeing him smile a little. ''I'm Jenna by the way.''

''I know.'' Liam responded causing my head to turn up again. ''That sounded weird- I mean I know you're Stiles's sister.''

''Oh.'' I chuckled softly, eagar to talk to him more. ''I'm Liam by the way- I think you already figured but.. Yeah.'' He shrugged as I laughed softly. ''Well it's nice to meet you Liam.'' I turned my head to one side, causing my tight pony tail to fall over one side of my shoulder. ''It's nice to meet you too.'' He flashed me a small smile.

Once Scott finally came back looking all flustered and happy- which was weird and slightly creepy- we managed to drive Liam to the Emergency Room, where Scott's mom, Melissa happened to arrive at the counter.

''Oh great, what happened?'' She frowned, immediatly pulling a wheelchair out from behind the counter. ''Lacrosse accident?'' Scott replied more like a question. ''Ugh Scott- I gotta go study with Malia.'' Stiles grabbed my shoulder so I wouldn't walk through behind everybody. Thank good because just being in a hospital enviroment makes me feel anxious.

''Oh, alright.'' Scott responded unenthusastically. ''Scott.'' I mumbled as his brown eyes looked up to me from his feet. ''Yeah?'' He breathed out. ''It's not your fault that Liam got hurt.'' I could sense the guilt he was kind of feeling. Same with Stiles, only Scott's was worse.

''I don't know.'' Scott shrugged. ''Yeah- plus if you would've put even a little werewolf strength into the hit, it would have broken Liam in two halves.'' Stiles added on quietly. ''I just feel like if I wasn't so bothered about loosing my place as Captain, Liam wouldn't be hurt.'' Scott responded.

''Don't worry about it Scott, it was just a normal accident that happens literally everyday.'' I spoke as he nodded.

''Plus you're just human, it's alright to want things sometimes..''

Later that night I couldn't help but lay in bed and think about Liam. Talk about cliche, but god dammit he was cute. Plus he was super nice- like most of the good looking boys, especially in high school, are such jerks.. But he's just so sweet and cute all at once, I swear it wasn't normal.
