We are pleased to announce that the International Space Station astronauts reentered the atmosphere early this morning, and are currently in the NASA Johnson Space Centre in Houston, Texas. Juniper Lucas was among those to return after the communications scare, only three months into her six month trip. She released a statement this morning via Instagram.

space is a scary place. it tries to kill you with everything it's got, but we as humans are stronger. we fight back with everything that we've got. our humanity defies all, it defies religion and borders and communication barriers. i know for a fact that five different space programs from five different countries banded together to help me and my four fellow astronauts safely navigate from the ISS back down to earth and i think that's a beautiful thing. i wish i could thank everybody who helped us, whether they were in the control room or the board room or even praying for us from their homes, for giving us the strength to carry on. we landed safely and i couldn't be more grateful for the chances i've had in my life 💖💖💖
