Chapter 1

Today was a gloomy day. Rain poured down sparkling and creating puddles that looked like mini lakes. A thick fog coated the town of Reverse Falls, making it scarier and more mysterious than before and a refreshing mist filled the air. You were in bed listening to the soft thud of rain on your tin roof, you looked over at your clock, it was already 6:15 in the morning, lack of sleep caused you to live a very boring life and past experiences contributed to that as well.

Back story

You were born in reverse falls, everything was perfect, you lived with your father and mother in a makeshift tin house at the edge of Reverse Falls in the vast woods. Everyday, you went out with your father to the flowing river by the house to watch the fish and deer grazing in the summer heat. You would admire him with your (e/c) eyes and loved how he patted your (h/c) hair. He was perfect to you, and so was your mother, she was kind, gentle and loving. Your father wasn't a wealthy man but he was everything. You loved your father... Loved. Well... that didn't last...

One day, your father announced that he was going on a trip for a while, he left without packing his things, without saying goodbye. You were heartbroken as you watched him smile as he left. In reality, he wasn't just gone for a while, he left forever. It was only later that you'd discovered that he joined a group... A society, called the Society of the Blind Eye and... never saw him again.

Your Mother, named Carla, was distraught, she wouldn't talk to you anymore, her face began to wrinkle and her hair turned grey, she no longer looked young, confident and well... As gentle as she was before. You saw the fear laced in her eyes that had clouded over years ago. One day she snapped. Told you she couldn't take it anymore and slammed the front door, she married someone else named Bud Pines... Great... So at the age of 16 she expected you to fend for yourself and that's what you did. In your eyes, she betrayed you, you and your father who was probably still alive. You were alone in the woods with no family and no friends. One year has passed, You were 17 now.

Sometimes you pretended they were still here in their bedroom across the hall. You'd hug their clothes just to... Remember and treasure what was left of your father's belongings.

So that one gloomy morning you woke up and decided to go into town. To buy food, but every encounter with the town would end in tears as you came here with your family once upon a time. You combed your silky (h/l) (h/c) hair and let it fall on your shoulders putting a small sky blue stone into your hair as a hairclip. Your father had found that stone deep in the woods, he told you it was magic, you didn't believe it. You put on a(n) (f/c) shirt with (designs) on it. You decided to put on plain black leggings and left it at that. Pleased with yourself, you smiled for the first time in a year. A sudden glow occurred in the stone but it faded as quickly as it came.

"okay..." You said aloud, a little scared by what happened and decided it was a hallucination.
