{DISCONTINUED} Not a Drag (Shikamaru Love story)

Team 10

I look at the clock.  5:30 uugghh.  Still another hour.  Ever since I got Asuki I have been waking up early for training, but now is not the time for training we're about to become Genins!  I woke up earlier than I originally planned, but since I couldn't fall back asleep I figured I might aswell come to the classroom and wait.  I lay my head down for a while and hear the door open.  I look up to see it's 6:30.  Wow I slept for a hour...UNEXPECTED!  "Asuki, why didn't you wake me?" I ask looking down by my feet for him.  He was asleep again.  When he isn't on top of my head he's asleep.  I felt someone sit beside me.  Oh yeah I forgot someone walked in.  I look over to see a boy who looked extremely bored. 

"Ummm..." I say looking to find some kind of conversation. I mean I have been alone for an hour. 

"Hey, I'm Shikamaru." he said looking away from my area as if he didn't really care if I was there or not.

"You know it's considered po--"  I was cut off by the sound of shouting.  I came Kiba, my stupid twin brother.  "What are you doing here so early Kiba, I know how you and Akamaru love to sleep."

"There's no way I would miss today butt-breath!"  Kiba replied.  I took a glance over to Shikamaru, he was smirking.  It seemed to fit him nicely.  I saw his eyes start to move over to me and I looked away.  

"What ever, so Shikamaru what do you like to do?"  I say to Shikamaru.

"I would tell you, but-" He waited a second before he continued. "I don't know your name." he ended with a sly little smirk on him face.  I punched him in the arm and he went flying across the room.

"Ouuch," Shikamaru said rubbing his neck.

"That's what you get for being a smart-ass! Anyway my name is Azuna, Azuna Inuzuka. I like Shogi, and relaxing. Now your turn." I say looking at him still against the wall. I laughed a little looking at his perplexed look.  

"What a drag, ugh, ok my name is Shikamaru Nara, and I like Things that don't take much energy, Shogi, and relaxing."  He said getting up. "That's one heck of a hit you got there."  

"You haven't even seen half of it." I said lifting Asuki onto my head.  And with that he slid back down. I laughed and walked over to him and offered him a hand up.  He took it and stood up.

"You're not half bad, I wouldn't mind being on the same team as you.  Maybe we could be the 4 team squad."  He said looking every where but at me.

"Yeah, I forgot we have to many people to have all three person teams.  I may look dumb like Kiba, but underestimate me.  I can beat my entire family in shogi, although that isn't a very big feat."

Having overheard my last remark Kiba interrupted me.  "Hey, you know I'm right here!"  I just roll my eyes and walk over with Shikamaru to our seats.  I sit down and felt Asuki shift, then whine.  Shikamaru looks at me with this look on his face. 

"More people are coming,  brace yourself."  I say putting my head back down, I mutter "They smell horrible." I added in almost a whisper.  Shikamaru must have herd me because he chuckled a little. "Not you I mean!  Umm, uhhggg," I say feeling defeated. "You smell...ok."

"Thanks, I think.  What do they smell like?"

"Well, Ino and Sakura smell like, well like, desperation.  Naruto smells like determination, it's REALLY strong.  And well the rest kinda blend into each other."  I say trying to make him understand.  All of a sudden the door slid open and a Ino and Sakura came barging in and started arguing.  I tried my best to turn them out and just lay my head on the desk.  I was able to do that for about ten minuets until I heard a muffled scream, and less then half a second later came a mixture of screams and laughter.  I looked up to see Naruto and Sauske kissing.  I looked to Shikamaru and saw him smirking, again.  In walked Iruka sensai.  He started to blush.  He looked down and cleared his throat.

"Alright class lets settle down.  As of now you are all Genin.  Here are you teams--" after that I kinda tuned out till I heard the name Shikamaru. "Team 7 Ino, Choji, and Shikamaru."  I glanced over at Shikamaru and he looked over to me, disappointment in his eyes.  I tuned back out till I heard my name.  "Team 8, Azuna, Kiba, Hinata, and Shino.  This is our team of 4 since we have to many students.  That's all, go and meet you leader!"  Everyone got up and rushed to the door.  I got up and rushed to Arukas desk.  "Umm, excuse me Aruka sensai?"

"Hmm...Yes Azuna?" He said looking up to me.

"Well," I said "I was hoping to join another team.  Two from the Inuzuka clan on the same team seems a bit redundant, don't you think?"

"Yes, that very well may be, but Which team would you join? Team 7? Team 10?  It would be very hard to decide.  So unless you know then I can't let you."  Aruka said stacking some papers neatly.  "All the team leaders want you.  You are the best girl we have in class.  You will have to pick.  The only teams that don't have any tracking are team ten and seven it looks like." Aruka said looking at some papers.  "Although, team 7 does have Sauske Uchiha, and Naruto, so sorry never mind looks like you are gonna have to be on team ten.  I'll inform Asuma of your change right away!  Why don't you join me?"  I nodded and with that we walked out the door.
