Chapter 1: Wait You Know Him?

Start from the beginning

After a comfortable silence, I begin talking to Han, "Come on we better get going to class, don't want to be late".

"Okay but do you want me to get you a coffee on the way, since you lied to your dad about having breakfast?" Hannah asks.

"No thanks Hannah, I've told you so many times to stop being so like this".

"Like what?" She ponders.

"Treating me like I'm helpless. I mean I kinda am but I know you have good intentions but please don't remind me of how helpless I really am" Hannah knows I'm not trying to be rude of offensive because she knows me way too well.

"Right sorry. COME ON SISTA! BUY YOUR OWN BLOODY COFFEE AND DON'T RELY ON ANYONE FOR ANYTHING, YOU'RE MUCH STRONGER. NOW STOP FEELING SORRY FOR YOURSELF AND GET THE FUCK OUT AND SHOW YOURSELF OFF," she pauses, "Better?" She asks.

I chuckle slightly, "Much better babe".

"Lol okay but for real let's go and make sure you take your purse because they gurlll ain't buying shit for you!" She motions at herself, she says the second part in a jokey manner of course, because best friends always talk like this with each other.

We walk out of my dorm and head to class, it's on the other side of the campus, I'm not entirely sure if we'd make it in time for the beginning of class.

"Hannah I don't think we should get coffee today".

"Why?" She asks me.

"We're going to get late, I want my punctuality to be top whilst I'm here" I say.

"Who cares Hun? Would you rather die because you haven't had anything to drink or would you rather be a little late to class just because you want to have a good punctuality record?" She throws the question at me.

"Ummm...".

"Oh my God are you actually going to have a think? It was a rhetorical question. Coffee. Now. Hun". That's myself and Hannah's friendship for you. She is the adventurous one, the rebel whereas I am the restricted one, I used to be like her but it's true when they say you change with your situation.

We continue walking until we see the coffee stand then we stop walking so slowly and we end up sprinting. Thankfully there's no queue so we might just might make it to class, maybe a millisecond late, oh I CANNOT risk that, I sprint even faster when all my books in my hand fall to the floor, UGHHHHHHHH!

I'm going to be late for sure! I stop running and I get on my knees to pick up my books from the floor. I quickly collect them, I stand up slightly, still looking down at the floor when I feel a heavy amount of force pushing me on the ground again, along with my books.

"Can you watch where the fuck you're going?" A voice grumbles, I look up and I see a TALL guy with a messy quiff, perfectly structured and carved by God himself jawline, with the right amount of stubble and was wearing Ray Bans.

"Uh sorry" I say quietly.

"Yeah go and stick your apology up where the sun don't shine" He says, what a dick! He walks away. I turn around, still on the floor.

"Aren't you going to help me?" I ask.

"Nah, you're clumsy, it's not my fault and sex bombs like me don't bend down for anyone" He says in a sassy tone and continues to walk off. OKAY it's official, I hate this guy!

Hannah comes racing back with both of our coffee's, "Omg Sophia what happened?".

"That jerk over there happened" I point over at the over the top sexy guy who is still walking away with his friend who was also hot, but not as hot as him.

"Alex Sharpe?" Hannah asks.

"Wait you know him?" I ask Hannah.

"How can you not know him? He's the new guy in our class, he was kicked out of his other one. Player, rebellious you know the typical bad boy?".

"Maybe I don't know him because he's new?"

"Don't get sassy with me Hun, come on let's go" Hannah winks.

"Oh and thanks for coffee Han".

"No need to say thanks Sophia, we need to hurry up because your good punctuality is about to be not so good and not so punctual" Hannah sniggers.

"Oh shush" I smile and we continue walking to class.

Once we reach the building I rush into class and I apologise to our maths teacher, Mr Webb. I am studying accounting so economics class is advised, as for Hannah, she wants to be a therapist so she's taking psychology and a few other subjects. I don't think economics has anything to actually to do with therapy but Hannah said she could choose any other subject and she chose economics.

"I'm so sorry we're late Sir, we just—" Mr Webb cuts me off.

"It's fine but don't be late next time, I don't want to see you late next time, you're one of the best students the college has to offer, you can't let being late affect you".

"Yes Sir" I walk off to my seat, being careful not to make any noise; I don't want to disturb any of the students that came ON TIME. I can't believe I wasn't on time. I hate myself so much right now!

I sit down in my seat and I pick up my bag and take my pen and calculator out, my head is literally inside my bag right now, I feel so suffocated by my pen and calculator are my top priorities. I finally find my calculator but my pen is hiding somewhere in my mess of a bag, I continue rummaging through my bag when I hear a few muffled voices, soon the my hearing becomes more audible and I can hear the conversation clearly:

"You coming late on your first day doesn't give me a great first impression of you" Mr Webb says.

"Don't really care what your first impression of me is, as long as this dick gets the girls, I'm fine" The voice replies, the voice sounds so familiar, I recognise it...

It's Alex Sharpe' voice.

Well Fuck.
