I mean, come on! The guy was pretending to be gay for crying out loud! Who knows how many changing girls he's already seen? He mostly designs women's clothing.
Come to think of it, I haven't seen any men's clothing hanged up. Maybe they're still in delivery? Or maybe Clark is the only guy he designs male clothes for. Why is my mind drifting back to Clark again? Jeez.
I zipped the fly up more tightly, mumbling curses at Clark for being totally unaware and as dense as Neptune before meeting Kiel outside the private section.
His eyes lit up at what he saw, "I knew jade was perfect for you!" he rejoiced in his newfound information, "Try this on next."
I took the pink and jade dress and made a face. I already knew I wouldn't wear this dress, even if it did look good on me, "I don't really like pink…" I said quietly.
"Hm?" Kiel looked up from where he was, at the row of jade dresses, "Did you say something?"
I smiled forcefully, "Uh. Never mind." I grumbled before going back into the changing room.
I don't hate pink. On the contrary, I find the colour cute. But Alissa loves pink so every time I buy something pink, Alissa can somehow find a way to sabotage them. In other words, find ways to make me hate them and surrender them to her. Rest in peace my cute pink clothing. I’m sorry I failed you all. Quite the she devil, that woman, I know.
Six dresses later, I found myself completely worn out. One part of me was thankful that I didn’t have to wear the pink dress but the other was saying that I should have just worn it so I didn't have to try on four more. It looked okay. It was actually beautiful. And there was no way Alissa would see it. I would probably be returning it to Kiel after the dinner interview.
Kiel was surprisingly a gentleman. Not once did he try to touch me, unless I wore the dress incorrectly, nor did he ever linger his eyes on places where they shouldn't linger. Not that I'd let him. I would probably pry his eyes out if that happened.
"How much time do we have left?" I asked Kiel once he proceeded in doing my hair.
"An hour at most. But I still have to do your make-up." he answered as he tugged and twisted my hair to find a look that would match the dress, "What style do you want?"
"Anything is fine." I told him and saw his eyes twinkle in the mirror. I chuckled quietly.
My hairstyle didn't really matter. Clark was the one being interviewed, not me. I'm just there so Clark doesn't look lonely. Jesse and his retarded self. Then again, since it's free food, I might as well enjoy it.
"You and Clark are close?" Kiel asked, getting my attention.
I wrinkled my nose, "Well, we were best friends before his whole celebrity life."
"And during?"
I frowned, "We never talked."
"At all?"
I nodded, "He became a complete jack-arse before he left." I explained nonchalantly.
"Would you elaborate?"
I bit my lip. Should I really be telling a person I've only known for barely an hour about Clark and I’s rollercoaster relationship?
I shrugged. Got nothing to lose so might as well.
"He stopped talking to me and got new friends."
"The popular crowd?" he guessed.
"Bingo."
"Typical. Continue."
"His treatment became colder and then prom came--"
"Don’t tell me you guys hooked up at prom?" he hypothesised.
