8th String - It's Hard Being In Love With Your Best Friend

Start from the beginning

"My stylist." Clark answered.

"I didn't know you had a stylist that lives here." I nodded understandingly.

Celebrities have stylists. How could I forget? I should really have it engraved in my brain that almost the whole world knows Clark Stephens. He's famous and a lot of people are interested in his life. I should feel lucky that he chose me for his best friend but we all know he’s the lucky one in this friendship.

And it’s all because of my pure awesomeness.

"Kiel was a college senior studying Design in Chicago when he volunteered to be Clark's stylist. Now he's kind of stuck with him. He's independently famous though. He has shops all over Europe. It just so happens that he bought some space here when he found out that it was Clark's current location." I turned my head to Jesse who was suddenly very close to me. I pushed him to the far left, not wanting even the slightest proximity between us.

"Apparently, he thought that he needed to maintain his reputation as my stylist even though I'm not very active in public this time around." Clark grumbled.

"Do you also dislike your stylist?" I asked Clark, bobbing my head subtly towards Jesse. Though I don't really mind if he does see. He should be told how annoying he is. Better yet, it should be on a billboard somewhere in town. Two billboards, at least.

"Also?" he repeated exasperatedly, "You dislike me?" he stared wide-eyed at Clark.

"Yes." he deadpanned, "And no. I don't dislike Kiel. He can just be annoying at times."

"Like when?"

"When he spends more than an hour touching my hair."

I laughed wholeheartedly at him. Boys and their hair. And I thought girls had issues.

Clark shook his head at me, "You'll never understand." he mumbled.

"Yeah. I'll never understand you and your hair's weird relationship."

"Sure. Ignore me, why don't ya." Jesse muttered begrudgingly when Clark and I entered an animated conversation about celebrities with weird hairstyles.

~~

I know I act like a boy at times but underneath my awesome butt-kicking boyish movements, I'm a girl.

So when I entered Kiel's boutique 'Charm', I couldn't help but be showered with happiness.

If there was one thing I loved aside from Xbox, it was dresses. I seldom wear dresses, but that’s only because there weren't many occasions where I could wear them. That's why when Leslie takes me out for dress shopping during the holidays; I take my sweet time in choosing even though I would only wear it for 5 hours.

Where was this Kiel? I wanted to meet him already and bask in his awesomeness. Someone who can make these kinds of clothes should be the president. I'm not even kidding. I might even learn a thing or two.

"I already texted Kiel and told him what he needs to do." Clark informed me, not looking up from his mobile.

I nodded, "Sure."

"He'll be out in a few minutes. I need to go now." he bid me adieu after ruffling my hair. What was I? A dog?

I roamed my eyes around the little shop. It was indeed messy. Jesse told me that it was not yet opened to the public because Kiel was still organsing the inside. I was thankful because I didn't have to deal with people. Kiel was the only person here and I think we'd get along fine. Clark and Jesse aren't human so I'll check them off the people list.
