Narrator's POV
It was a dark and slightly damp hole in the ground. The damp smell of mildew lingered everywhere, but to Eli, it was home. The ground, not the hole. As with every morning he woke up quickly, near sunrise. As closely he could do while underground.
Eli's POV
Well, another fine damp day to wake up to. I don't know how early it is, but I better keep moving. "Sensei, are you awake?" No reply. As usual. I always wake up before Sensei. By the way, I am human. Sensei is not. He is a Spirit of the Earth. There is only one, and he is a master of the element of Earth, and my trainer. Under the close training and watching of Sensei, I have learned to manipulate the earth to my own will, making weapons, armor, and pillars, among other things.
Narrator's POV
Then comes a shaking. It fells like an earthquake.
Eli's note: I have been in an earthquake before, I have caused an earthquake, the Narrator was putting words in my mouth
Eli's POV
The earth shook. It shook enough to wake up Sensei -a feat on it's own- but continued to shake and then came the noise. It was like a thousand wailing banshees. And I've been to the Otherworld, I know what they sound like. If it weren't for our quick thinking, we would've died. I think, we didn't stick around long enough to find out. In short, I moved the Earth around me to create a cavity that filled up behind me to not create a sink hole
Narrator's POV
Soon, they would have to shed their Earthy shell. But for now, they could remain underground. But soon Eli will have to face the rest of his journey alone. Fearing his time was near, Sensei told Eli of a prophecy.
Sensei's POV
"Eli, my time is soon to come. But before that, I must tell you why I have trained you. A prophecy tells of the four elements, Water, Earth, Fire, Air. All elements must train under a spirit, and once trained, must unite to create, The Unity. Only The Unity can battle with, and destroy the Ultimate Evil. The Ultimate Evil will prevail if The Unity gets destroyed, and chaos will raze the world. If The Unity can fall before uniting. If slain in the order of Water, Earth, Fire, Air, Chaos will raze everything, and will leave 1 survivor to create Chaos's "Perfect World" and there will be only disciples of Chaos"
Eli's POV
When I heard Sensei say that, I thought he was crazy. But it makes sense. The Unity, Water, Earth, Fire, Air, must destroy the Ultimate Evil, Death, Life, Chaos, Fire. If they fail, everything will die. And it all depends on the choice of one element. Fire. Only the Fire disciple can create The Unity, or the Ultimate Evil. But the chances of finding each other are slim, four kids, finding each other across the entire world, but we have to try. I don't know what to do without Sensei, but my instincts will guide me. I hope The Unity will prevail.
