It was summer time before 2nd grade. I was at the park with my cousins and their friends. The park was located in the center of the small neighborhood.

While being pushed on the swings I saw a trio of boys arriving at the park. "Naya can I get down I want to play with those kids please."

She closely inspected the small children walking over to the tall climbing rock and gave a nod in approval. Naya lifted me up and gently put me on the ground as she wiped off my outfit that was already filled with dust and dirt.

She gently pushed me and then walked away to her friends. I skipped over to the brunette with an odd curl sticking out of his head.

"Hi, I'm (Y/n)! Who are you guys. I haven't seen you around here before!" The light brown haired boy giggled and hugged me, "My name is Felicano! The taller one is Ludwig and the one with a plastic sword is Kiku! We just moved here!"

They awkwardly waved at me then started to avoid eye contact. I giggled and threw my hands in the air as if I were reaching for the sky, "Welcome to the neighborhood!"

It was a small town which only had a few big store brands and only one movie theater. In that town, everyone knew each other and was pretty much family. But sadly this family had to break up.

"What do you mean you guys have to leave!" I dropped my ice cream on the floor.

"Well, I have to go back to Germany to take care of my sick brother. Kiku has to go to China to help his brother with his siblings and Felicano has to go help his grandpa in Italy." Ludwig put his hand on my shoulder and gave me a look of sympathy.

"It's okay, I understand you guys need to help your family and I support your choice. But, can we make today the finest day we ever had together?" They all nodded as I pumped my fist in the air.

Six months after my friends left I fainted from blood loss. After that incident, my nosebleeds became more frequent. My appetite slowly dissipating over time.

In my seventh grade, I found out that I had stage 2 slow-growing type of leukemia that was untreatable.

Halfway seventh grade I had to be homeschooled since I would be missing a lot of days resting in the hospital.

My parents worrying about me being bullied because I had wigs and prosethic hair, so I wasn't allowed to go to school after treatment started.

Custom wigs were all I had close to hair.

Dull pain throughout my body was always constant but this was my new life and it was a life I had to get used too.

2 years of persuading to go to school I was finally able to go once again.
