Eternal light that guides the unwary,
won't you be my guide whenever I feel worried?
God in the heavens that shines from above,
will you be the one that will show me how to love.
To the people around me I close my heart
not letting anyone in, no one to harm.
Because if one thing I do have clear
is that in those people lie, hate and fear
Confronting my demon I say to you here
Facing the winds, tide, sea, fire and fear.
Should I awaken from the dream that never was?
Or should I see myself, to face my battle scars.
Earth, water, flame and breeze
won't you take, blow and burn all my dreams.
What do I fear? What do I see?
What do I hear? Are you calling for me?
Climbing the stairs is where I should be
the stairs that led to prosperity.
But instead I walk among the dead
for I know that if I go up, I'll suffocate.
So I ask this to the angels that lay next to me
hoping that their pureness rubs off on me.
And if the stars should turn off at night
At least I'll sleep soundly, knowing that God is by my side.
