Chapter 12

Jake POV

I watched Cassie enter the room with a mad face on and I couldn't help but smile. She was cute when she was angry. She walked over to the pool cues and chose one. She turned to us and said :

" Shall we get to it then ?" 

We all nodded and chuckled at her hurried tone. We started playing against Chris and Tyler. Of course me and Nate won. Everytime I was to shoot a ball, I looked at Cassie with a smirk on my face and she returned a deathly glare. During her game against Tyler and Chris, I didn't really pay attention. 

I was texting and preparing our attack plan for tonight against the Sharks. My team had found all of their warehouses and we were planning a raid during the night to eliminate them and maybe get more information about their plan. I was pulled out of my thoughts by Cassie's victory screams. 

I looked up and realised that she was jumping and hugging Derek with all her strength. I smiled and she turned to me smirking almost challenging me. I raised an eyebrow trying to figure her out but I couldn't. Nate started the game and entered a stripped ball. Derek played afterwards and my turn arrived. I scored 3 balls. I caught Cassie's eyes and grinned at her. She returned it and got on her tiptoes to whisper something to Derek who looked shocked after it. 

She motionned to get a better angle and I couldn't keep my eyes off her swinging body. She started aiming but missed miserably which made me laugh. She stood straight and started saying :

" Give me another shot ! Please ..." She looked from Nate to me with her bottom lip quivering. I turned to Nate who nodded. 

" Fine sweetheart " She smiled maliciously and I motionned to her. She was replacing herserlf. I stood behind her and looked around to the boys who were smirking (except Derek who was trying to contain himself ). I leaned so that I could reach her ear and whispered :

" Do you need me to show you how to play ?" I sensed her roll her eyes and a smirk appeared on my face before I felt a pang in my stomach. She shot the ball and kicked me at the same time. I watch the ball go perfectly in the hole. I rubbed my stomach and looked at her in disbelief. She looked at me a satisfied look on her face. She walked away from me. 

"No I think I am good !" She chirped before leaning again to strike once more.

" That was only luck sweetheart " I replied. She shoot and executes a perfect curved shot and strikes. My mouth falls open. 

" Really ? " she asks me on an innocent tone. I don't have time to reply that she striked 3 other balls giving her team the pole position. 

" I thought you told us you couldn't play !" Chris almost yelled with an incredulous voice. 

" Actually, Derek said that ! You just blindly believed him !" She shrugged. She aimed again and scores. I look up to Derek who's smilling and is obviously proud of his sister. 

" But you're a girl !" Tyler said tearing his hair out in disbelief. 

" So ? " she responded not feeling a bit hurt by his remark. And another one in.

" Where the hell did you learn to play like this ??" Nate said through clenched teeth. He was mad. 

" Well, let's just say that there was a pool table in my school lounge and it was a good way to pass the time. The guys taught me. " She turns around the table examining her next move and in  two seconds the ball goes in. She got all of her balls in. There is only the black one left. She stops and turns to Nate and me. 

" How do you want to play this one boys ? One shot or two ?" she asked. Nate and I were stunned. First because she played the whole game by herself and because she knew every single term and techniques of the game. I needed to put an end to it. Being kicked by her was one thing but getting beaten by her would definetly destroy my dignity. If she missed the shot, Nate would play and we would take the lead, I was sure of it. I just needed to find a hard move that she can't possibly pull off.
