Chapter 13

School was over and I waited outside the school for Josh. "Faith!?" Josh shouted running over to me. "Hey." I said.
"Hi, u ok now?" He asked. "Yea" I replied. "Ok, I just need to tell Alfie we're walking." I ran over to Alfie's car to find him sitting in he's car..... Kissing he's gf. I slowly walked backwards and then ran back to Josh. "U did it?" He asked. "Nah... He's a bit 'busy' I'll just text him." I took my phone out and started texting him. "Ok done, let's go." We started walking and talking.
"Ok... So what were u talking about these powers?" He asked me.
"Well I don't really know what they are or why I have them.. Like when I got upset I kinda froze my room and I couldn't stop it! Now every time I feel emotional my powers goes crazy." I looked at my hands then slowly took off my gloves that I was wearing. "That's why u always were gloves!" He pointed out. I slightly laughed then said. "Yes... Come on." I grabbed he's wrist again and ran thru some trees and ended up beside the lake. "Wow! Ur hands r cold." Josh realise after a while. "Ino." I sighed.
"Ok.. So first of all we need to figure these powers out to help u control them." He sounded so scientific. "Haha yes scientist." I laughed. "I'm just trying to help." He laughed putting a arm around me. "Ok, u wanna see them?" I asked him. "Yes, ur ice queen."
I walked away from him and went to the lake. I sat down on the long grass and dragged my hand in it. Josh came over to and joined me. I then slightly places my hand on the water and it started to freeze then I quickly removing my hand before I freeze the whole lake. "Wow." I heard Josh saying under he's breath. I then threw my hands up in the air and made some small snow flakes fall over us. "How can u do that!?" He asked shocked. "I told u. I don't know." I looked up at the peaceful sky as the snow flakes dropped around us.
It was so peaceful here. It was prefect. The blitzing sun in the sky, the lake reflecting the trees in the distance, the way no one comes around here and the most special thing is that I'm here alone with Josh. "How long have u had these powers." Josh ruined the silents. "Unm..... Like I've had them for over 2 months." I started playing with my fingers. "What? Why didn't u tell me sooner?" He asked me. "Bc.. I was.... Scared." I didn't want to look at him. I couldn't. "It's ok. U should of told me sooner... I'm ur best friend and I'll do anything for u." what did he just say BEST FRIEND! Ok ok maybe that's the first state of becoming he's girlfriend. "Thanks.. Ur always here for me... I love u.." What did I just say! Omg! Faith! What! "As a friend." I tired laughing it off. Ok! I saved it. We're just friends. "Haha I love u too as a friend." He laughed.
We decided to stay at the lake for awhile. It was so peaceful here. I love it here! How could I've never actually been here before. When I was pulling Josh here I was just trying to get away from everyone but I didn't realise it brought us here. We lay under a tree beside each other looking at the clouds. "Josh?" I said. "Yea faith." He looked down at me. "What about there's other people out there with powers?" I said unsure what I was talking about. "I don't know, I suppose there is tons of people out there and there is a chance some of them could be like u." He replied. "Do u have powers." I kinda laughed. "No, Faith I don't." He laughed. "But anyone who has it is a very gifted person." He smiled down at me. "Aww thanks." I blushed. He was so kind! Everyday my crush grew bigger! He didn't really help it a lot by being so nice to me.
After a while we started heading home. We got to my house and I really just wanted to stay by the lake all day with Josh but I knew I had to go in. "Thanks for an amazing day." I said. "Ur welcome, wouldn't be amazing without u." He made me giggle. "Ok see ya at school." I said. "See ya at school." We hugged and then I slowly walked up to my house watching and waving to Josh as I did. I got to the door and slowly closed it until I couldn't see he's face anymore.....
