"Glad to know you didn't forget me," he replied confidently while releasing my hair. He leaned back in the chair observing me and I mirrored his pose looking him over. In the 9 years it had been since I had seen him last, I wanted to say he stayed the same, but he didn't.

The slender round faced boy I had known had grown into a bulking man. His clean shaven face held no hint of stubble but displayed his chiseled features. The once softly rounded angles of his baby face, now jutted out creating a structured and strong guise. His shoulders were broader, his arms much larger than before.

I looked for things that may not have changed about him and found myself smiling softly at the familiar features. He always had huge hands and I couldn't tell if they really grew or not. His deep brown eyes stared at me the same way they did back then. His full eyebrows were still perfectly shaped. The dark brown curls were shorter but still just as luscious, brushing across his tan Mediterranean skin. My eyes traveled down to his full pink lips that were turned up into a genuine smile. "Tiana?" His voice snapped me out of my analyzing.

"Sorry. Um hi, oh my gosh sorry I'm just, stunned to see you again," I laughed lightly before standing up and scuttling around the table to hug him. He stood up quickly entering my outstretched arms with a big smile. His arms squeezed me tightly around my waist squishing my face into his chest as I attempted to wrap my arms around his massive ones. "You're bigger than you were last time," I said lifting my face to him.

"True," he replied winking at me.

"I can't hug you, my arms won't reach around your back." He chuckled bringing his lips down to my ear.

"Then bring them a little higher," he whispered. Cheeky little flirt. I obeyed sliding my arms up wrapping them around his neck. We stood there hugging as though this wasn't something awkward to do in a public place. For us, it kind of wasn't, he was always quick to hug me wherever we were, I hadn't realized how much I missed him. In fact I had almost completely forgotten about him. Almost.

"You're hair smells like avocados," he murmured softly. I laughed leaning back to look at him to find him smiling down at me.

"It's part of being natural, it usually smells like honey, yogurt and mangoes too." He pulled me closer burying his face into my hair.

"Mmm I can't wait to do this and smell mangoes." I chuckled and moved out of his arms trying to ignore the rapid pounding of my heart as I walked back to my seat. He slid into the seat across from me grinning.

"You make it sound like we're going to be seeing each other a lot."

"That's the plan." He took his suit jacket off and draped it over the back of the chair.

"Hmm I don't know how I feel about that," I replied placing my elbows on the table, cradling my face in my hands.

"I do. You're thrilled. So tell me, what have you been up to? It's been what? 7 years?" he grinned softly.

"9. But who's counting? Well I've been in school most of it. I'm getting ready to graduate with my doctorate as a physical therapist and I currently intern at a hospital to get practice in my field."

"Doctorate? How the hell-"

"I graduated a year early. And went straight into college."

"Damn woman. I'm impressed."

"That's because I'm impressive." He bellowed out a laugh. I found myself feeling giddy at his laughter. It was so strong and deep. "So what about you? What's been up in your life?"

He told me how he went to college for a business degree, then moved back to greece with his family for a few years, before returning to the states to run an international shipping company. I listened to the deep tenor of his voice feeling soothed by it. As we sat there catching up on life, I couldn't ignore the peaceful feeling I got around him and how easy it was to talk. It was as if all the time at had passed, hadn't.
