HERMIONES POV

Hermione couldn't believe what Ron had just told her. She lay on her bed at the Burrow in Ginny's room replaying every word that had been said.

FLASHBACK TO A FEW MINUTES AGO*

Hermione had woken up and was ready for breakfast, although she wasn't hungry, she managed to eat the gigantic plate of scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. She was so full, Mrs. Weasley decided not to ask her about seconds.. Or even thirds as she usually does on a regular basis.

Although, Hermione was surprised when she didn't see Ron at the breakfast table, Mrs Weasley had reassured her that Ron was just out flying.

She decided to go out and bid him a good morning. Ron hopped off his broom at the sight of Hermione.
He had some news to tell her. That's why he had come up o fly. This was his thinking space.

"Morning Ron." Hermione said taking a step closer to peck his lips. Ron quickly pulled away, and pulled Hermione aside, confused.

"Hermione, look. I know your not going to like what I have to say to you, but after the wizarding war. Everyone and everything had changed. And I think it's time that we did too."
Ron said.

That wasn't the real reason Ron wanted to break up. There was someone else. Someone who offered Ron what Hermione couldn't.

"So your dumping me? At YOUR house, in YOUR "backyard" while I'm staying at YOUR place, with YOUR family, who just happened to invite me to spend the summer with YOU?"

Ron hated to admit it to himself but maybe this break up could have waited a while longer. Hermione was right.

"Yes? No? I don't know Hermione. I don't know anymore."

"What don't you know?"

"Look Hermione. I don't want to hurt you. I love you. I just think we should break up."

Hermione held back her tears, asking something she needed to know the answer to.

"Why?"

"I already told you. I need change."

"Ronald, I've known you since you were 11, which means I can see right through your wall of lies." Hermione said trying to act tougher than was feeling inside. But I mean who could blame her? She had just been dumped by a guy she's liked since their third year.

"Okay. We all know your too smart for me." Ron chuckled trying to lighten the mood. Which made it worse because hermione hasn't even tried to smirk.

"Ronald. Tell me the truth."

"Okay but you need to stop calling me Ronald"

"Okay. Proceed."

"There'ssomeoneelse." Ron blurted out as fast as he could.

"I'm sorry what?"

"There's.."

"Uh huh?"

"Someone.."

"There's someone...? What"

"There's someone else.."

"Oh."

"I hope you can under stand. It's just that, this person can offer me what you can't."

'OF COURSE I CAN UNDERSTAND YOU BETRAYING ME.'

He sounded like a business man, offer him what?

Then the answer hit her like a brick.
