Note: The introduction is strongly based on my hobbies and favorite artists (*cough cough* Marina and The Diamonds, Melanie Martinez, twenty one pilots...).

I'm not a dancer. In fact, at this point I'm more of an actress than an actual dancer. Well, it's not for public...
You know what, I just have a strange hobby, m'kay?
Film is my passion. Music is my passion. I carry out those passions through dance by filming a choreography for a song I love. No, not songs other people love, my own personal interests. I like to edit movies. I also like to edit songs. This includes mashups, remixes and just shortening songs for music videos including my dances that are more like acts because I also like acting.
How about I sing a shortened and remixed mashup of a Y/F/A/1 or Y/F/A/3 song? Make a music video to Y/F/A/3. I could remake a song I like just with piano or another instrument.
I am a strange being, but it's a good thing. Incredible opportunities have resulted from said strangeness. There are actually normal things I like to do, so not unlike any other 20 year old girl I like to YouTube or Netflix binge. One of these YouTube obsessions has been, for a long time, a man named Adam Dahlberg. Better known for his channels including Skydoesminecraft, Skydoesthings, Skyvsgaming and Office Antics. When he opened up the Sky Media Offices, another obsession in the form of a man named Max, also known as Mithzan, came along. I would begin to explain the perfection that is Max but the length of such an explanation would exceed the limits of my brain.
I'm off track now.
Anyway, I like to fulfill my passion for film and music by creating music videos to songs I like, as I said before. These music videos consist of concept choreographies and low budget outfits. I then edit the compilation of scenes I have filmed by myself and post them online because, why not?
My YouTube video for this week is a music video for the new song by one of my obsessions, twenty one pilots (Sorry I had to). The song "Heathens" does have its own music video, so I took inspiration from that and put my own twist on it.
(Heathens Official Music Video)
I do videos exactly like this every week of songs that, sure, may be less popular, but still. So, why does this one go viral?
This very video, expanding my fanbase of one million people to seven and earning me enough to pay the rent for this month, sparks the beginning of my dream come true.
"Y/N, did you Max's new video?" My best friend and business partner, Brit, asks as she walks into the living room to find me lounging on the couch as my lazy self.
"Not yet," I say, taking my time with my binging to enjoy the Sunday instead of film every day. I don't have what people would call a "real" job, unless making videos for youtube that barely earns any money counts. Brit does, however, which is how we keep our apartment. "I will now, though."
"Yes, you will, because you're in it," she rushes over to sit next to me, iPad in hand. I roll my eyes. Sure.
As I watch the simple but ten minute vlog, the tiniest bit of hope that settled in the lowest part of my stomach dissipated. It was so unlikely yet I wanted an opportunity to work with others, let alone be noticed by people I look up to so much.
Especially those at Sky Media. Especially Max.
But Brit wouldn't be joking around with something she knows is so important to me.
And she wasn't joking.
The video explained how Max is going to be creating a new category of videos on his channel, but still remains at the offices. He wanted to start making real life videos including short films and maybe, if he's lucky, direct some music videos.
Music videos.
After a few more minutes of explaining this, the usual Sunday vlog begins. This time, however, it wasn't a usual vlog. For me, at least.
"Some of you may know the song 'Heathens', a song on the soundtrack for Suicide Squad. It's the best song ever because TWENTY ONE FREAKING PILOTS," he said, walking into the offices for his normal day at work.
I shriek inside. The fact that he could be talking about the video I posted on Friday didn't cross my mind because I was too occupied freaking out about his confession (I'm SORRY I REALLY HAD TO).
The insane thing was that he was going to work, meaning that he filmed this on Friday. The day my video came out.
"Look at this," he continued as he recorded his phone.
And what was playing on it was none other than my video.
"I am going to cry," I say, gripping the pillow on my lap so hard I thought I would tear the thing. "Brit, I am going to cry."
"We're not even at the best part," she said with the most idiotic smile.
"This girl is 20 and films all of these herself. She edits them herself and does EV. ERY. THING. I need to meet her." Max says, and as it turns out, he is talking to Ross.
I burst into tears.
