Ten hours later-

Tony sighed as he finished one of parts to the suit. He went to take a break, wiping his hands that were full of grease, when the door opened.

The guards showed Maddie in harshly and she fell to the ground. She coughed a bit and Tony rushed to her aid.

He picked her up and saw some small cuts and bruises on her face. Not to mention the black eye on the right side of her face.

"Hey, are you okay," he said, holding her up.

She coughed again and smiled: "Never better." He picked her up and brought her to her bed.

"Let me clean these cuts," he insisted but she stopped him. She held onto his hand and whispered:

"I know the way out of here." He was surprised and before she drifted to sleep, he had her recite how to get out as he scribbled it onto a piece of paper.

He smiled at it and saw that she had fallen asleep. His smile faded slightly and he stood up, placed a kiss on her forehead and went back to work.

He had done a lot of work while Maddie was being tortured but he still needed her help.

In the morning, Maddie was well enough to start assembling the suit with Tony. They continued working those two days, putting together the suit in secret.

On the final day, Maddie quickly assembled the suit for Tony. Raising the metal pieces and then screwing them together.

"Okay, say it again," Maddie ordered as she placed gloves on his hands.

"Forty-one steps straight. Sixteen steps from the door, make a left. Four more steps to make another left. Thirty-three steps then make a right," he said correctly and a bit hesitantly.

Suddenly a knock came from the door. "Girl," they yelled in Hungarian. "Girl!"

"Say something," Tony demanded calmly.

"They are speaking Hungarian," Maddie defended.

"Then speak Hungarian. What do you know?" Maddie turned to the door and pleaded them not to come in.

Of course, they ignored her and opened it anyways. A blast erupted from the door and the men shot back dead.

"It work alright?"

"Oh my goodness! By the sound of it, it worked alright. Now, let me finish this," Maddie said, screwing one more thing on Tony's suit.

Maddie then turned to the computer and pressed the space bar. "It should be uploading," she said.

"It is. I see the progress bar. Come on now, hide behind me," she did as he commanded and heard footsteps.

The lights went out and the suit was at full power. The progress bar had loaded and the chains broke away from the suit. They were ready.

"You got your bulletproof vest on," he asked in a whisper.

"Yes," she whispered back. They heard talking over by the door and ordered they go one at a time.

When the man came into view, Tony smacked his back with his metal arm. Gunshots were fired but nothing hit them.

"Stay here a second," Tony whispered and went to go fight the other men. After some yells and grunts, Tony signaled her to follow. "Come on."

Making their way out of the cave, no man and no weapon were matched to beat Tony's suit.

Tony sent another guy flying and responded with: "Haha. You see that?"

"I heard it. Don't get cocky. We aren't done yet." They knew a lot of men where waiting outside and Tony ordered Maddie to wait again.

Maddie heard more gunshots and then she heard Tony say: "My turn." A heat wave erupted from Tony's suit.

Burning and destroying everything in its path. After a while, he called on Maddie. She came and hooked herself onto the suit.

"Hold on," he ordered and as she did so, Tony's suit lifted from the ground and away from the campsite.

They made it about three miles out before the suit's flight power have out. They went plummeting down and into the sand.

Thankfully, Tony broke Maddie's fall and she wasn't all that hurt. She landed next to him in the sand. The suit on the other hand, was completely destroyed. She laughed in happiness and helped Tony get out of the sand.

"We did it," she said.

They left it as it was and began walking. Tony held onto Maddie's hand and guided her through the desert.

After an hour of walking, Maddie heard a humming in the distance. And sure enough, three helicopters came into view. It was the army.

Tony jumped and yelled and waved and they landed. Soldiers exited each helicopter and ran to their aid, one of them being Tony's best friend. He ran ahead, leaving Maddie standing alone.

Tony collapsed to his knees as they arrived. "How was the fun v? Next time you ride with me okay," Rhodes replied, placing a hand in Tony's shoulder. "Who's your friend?" Tony turned his head and saw the little girl waiting patiently a few feet away.

He stood to his feet and walked over to Maddie, Rhodes and other army men following. Tony knelt down again and placed his hands on her arms.

"These guys are my friends. Okay? They are here to take us home," he reassured her.

"Where's home?" Tony never answered her question though, instead he replied with.

"You'll stay with me until we can find someone to take care of you, okay?" She nodded understandingly and he took her hand, walking back to the chopper.

They got them on the helicopter and back to their base. Where they got cleaned up and in new clothes, and then were sent back to the United States.
