The Missing Hero

The Discovery

5 years. That is how long Percy Jackson has been missing. The day had started out like any ordinary day at camp half- blood.

---------Flashback---------

The day was no different than any other day, the campers were participating in their daily activities, that was, until they heard the argument that they thought changed everything.

"ANNABETH HOW COULD YOU!" Yelled an enraged Percy. The skies darkened and the waves crashed fifteen feet high, chasing off campers.

Annabeth, to proud to step down, said "I'M SORRY PERCY BUT I JUST DON'T FEEL THE WAY I USED TO! THE SPARK IS GONE, STOP OVERREACTING!" The campers froze in fear as they awaited Percy's big reaction.

Instead, he whispered in a cold hard voice, yet it sent shivers down every campers spine, "you call saving Olympus three times an overreaction? You call jumping into TARTARUS, an overreaction? Fine, next time there is a threat or enemy, I won't OVERREACT." Percy stormed off to his cabin.

The crowd, too stunned to speak, just glared at Annabeth. Annabeth, also shocked, ran into the Athena cabin.

The next day the seven, minus Percy and Annabeth, decided to go to Percy's cabin and comfort him. As they reached the cabin, they found it completely empty. The soon checked the beach, thinking he went out for a walk. When they couldn't find him, they started to panic. They soon went to Chiron and told him of their discovery.

"Chiron, there was absolutely no trace of Percy there. It didn't even look like he slept!" Exclaimed piper.

Jason went to comfort his girlfriend. "Chiron, do you have any idea of where he might be?"

"Relax child, Percy probably went away from camp for a while especially after what happened with him and Annabeth, though I must say I am very disappointed in Annabeth, I th-" Chiron was interrupted by a sniffle coming from the door. With fast reflexes, Jason took down the unseen intruder taking off the cap, revealing a crying Annabeth.

"What do you want, Annabeth!" Piper spat with venom in her tone. "Now Now, piper, give Annabeth a chance to explain. Annabeth dear, what is it." Chiron asked kindly.

"P-please, forgive me, I made a mistake, please forgive me!"

"It's too late for sorry, ANNABETH as Percy went away, all because of you!"

Annabeth looked to Chiron for help, but he just gave her a disappointed stare. Annabeth hung her head low in shame and left the big house, cap hanging loosely on her fingers.

Jason turned back to the century. "Maybe your right Chiron, maybe he just needed a break from camp half-blood and he will be back soon."

"But the mortal world is dangerous to demigods! He could get seriously hurt, or worse! And wouldn't he tell us if he was leaving for the mortal world instead of just venturing out?

"Don't worry pipes, Percy is the most powerful demigod out there, if any one of us would be able to survive out in the mortal world alone, it's him."

"What can we do now Chiron?"

"All we can do now, dear hazel, is wait.

---------Flashback End---------

It took a whole year until the whole council could convince Zeus to send a search party for young Perseus. It took another three years later until Zeus sent out Artemis's hunters. At five years, almost all hope was lost, searches were canceled, and Percy Jackson presumed dead. All but one was mourning, for they could finally introduce Omega.

"Omega." Omega emerged from the darkness and went down on one knee. "yes my lord." Zeus smiled. "It is time you are introduced to the rest of the Olympians."  Omega stood up. "Yes lord Zeus." Zeus smiled. he was confident they would win this war.

Chapter is short, but will get better in the future. -_-
