"Hi, my name is Jhene. And I will be helping you with your dream wedding." This petite women said shaking my hand.
"Nice to meet you." I smiled sitting in the seat that was across from her desk.
"Before we start, do you have any questions to ask?"
"Yeah, I would like to know how many weddings have you planned before me?"
"So many I lost count. In this city I'm known for this. You won't be disappointed."
"That's good to hear." I grinned.
"Okay, what's the most unique wedding you ever planned?" I asked.
"It was an African themed wedding." She answered flipping through her wedding portfolio to show me.
"You had an elephant?"I skimmed over the photos.
"That's dope." I said handing her the photo album back.
"So what did you have in mind? For your theme?" She asked leaning back in her chair crossing her leg over the other.
"I was thinking about an winter wedding. Like an ice princess sort of thing."
"That sounds nice." She said writing stuff in her notepad.
"But I feel like that's to basic? You know?"
"It's not basic at all. If that's what you want, I'm going to make it happen for you."
"Or a beach wedding. That's the two options that's really calling my name."
"Well, talk to your fiancé about it. And see which one he likes best."
"He's the type of person that doesn't care about that." I chuckled.
"He just wants to marry me and that's it. He doesn't care for decorations."
"Aren't all men like that?" She laughed.
"Right."
"Are you married?" I continued.
"Yes, for seven years and still going strong."
"Wow , that's beautiful."
I would love to have an healthy marriage like that. I'm only getting married once. I don't need my children to ask why they're only spending holidays with one parent.
"Thank you. But let's get back to planning."
"Do you have a date in mind?" She asked.
"If I wanted to do the winter theme , I would love to have it in December."
"That's sounds perfect." She says.
"I think that's what I want to do." I smiled. Only six more months until I marry the love of my life.
"December what?" She asked.
"December seventeenth sounds good since its on a Saturday." I said looking through my calendar on my phone.
"Okay. December seventeenth it is." She said jotting a few things down in her notepad.
December seventeenth, it sounds far. But I know it will fly by. I can't wait.
