'I'm only one of the many human beings on this earth.'

As always, she thought about complicated things through the cold, damp night. Complicated things that a twelve-year old like her shouldn't even think about.

'Maybe I'm one of those different people...'

As she walked down the path, fancy people envied her, talking behind her back even if she didn't know them. Some commoners would glance at her beauty even if she wore no expression at all.

'...those different people who never fit in.'

Beggars would raise their heads and plead, reaching out their hands. But after she ignores them, they'd wear their nasty faces, uttering curses.

'I am cold-hearted.'

She sighed with closed eyes when she finally stood in front of the dull entrance of an abandoned building.

'I'm a huge mess.'

Her eyes were lifeless, but they became worse when she stood in front of the bed she despised.

"Are you ready?"

"Y-Yes." the woman weakly stuttered.

"You already know that I won't take the blame." she gently rubbed her hands together, "and I've already apologized to you."

"Yes." the woman cleared her throat as she positioned herself on the bed, "Please, just hurry..."

"I shall now free you from your sufferings..." bluish-white aura began to gently flow from her left hand as she raised it, "I request you to fend yourself, taste the eternal sweetness of heaven..." her eyes finally went crimson-red, "in return for this solace..."

The pale and frail woman shivered on her bed as she felt pleasure crawl up her spine. She closed her eyes to have better consumption of the ecstasy. And soon, she finally began to feel like she was truly in paradise.

But, the scene present before her closed eyes was a sight she'd never wanted to see.

The gloomy room which once, only had the presence of the two, was now filled with strange creatures. The once silent room was now filled with horrible cries.

"She's supposed to join us..." a thin, eerie creature cried out.

"NO! Let her continue to suffer in pain!" a being, close to a cyclops's image, exclaimed.

"Let her join us, let her join us!" smaller creatures uttered in creepy voices.

She tried to focus and ignore the demons who pleaded and cried. She bit her lips until they were red of her fresh blood.

She couldn't bear any more of this. She felt her eyes moisten up as she saw the once, suffering lady who only laid on her bed for six straight months, now smiling in relief because of this fake therapy she performed.

"Interim..."

The demons finally united, cheered in unison as they saw the woman's soul, slowly floating towards them.

"Euphoria."

After uttering those words to imply her Nen technique, she dropped on the old planks, right on her knees, her sweat running non-stop.

"Here comes her memories!" the demons rejoiced, "Let's feed on them now!"

"Hey kid!" a floating-figure with no face shouted, "Give us her soul."

She glared at them, creating an invincible barrier as they approached.

The demons, unable to demolish her barrier, were finally gone. And so was a quarter of the woman's soul.

She decided to waste no more time and quickly regained composure, her scarlet eyes were now back to their original shades. Beside the creaking bed was an old desk with a Nen-empowered letter on top of it.

'I am cold hearted.'

'My dear friend,

Thank you for fulfilling my wish. May you continue helping those who suffer like me.

I hope my entire Nen or soul is enough payment for the loss of your own Nen.

I am truly thankful.

Truly yours,

Judith'

'I am cold-hearted.'

She shivered as she turned to leave. Even if Judith said that she shouldn't blame herself, she felt that she was being stopped from leaving the room because of how guilty she felt.

"I'm so sorry..." she softly said against the letter pressed on her lips, "I didn't want to. I'm sorry."

'But that doesn't mean that my heart is made of stone.'

She cheated on herself. She didn't take Judith's payment but instead, she planned to stop by the shrine and offer it.

Normally, she would feed on the client's suffering soul and feed their memories to the demons.

So, she turned the doorknob and the old door made such a creepy sound. She took out a pen and pocket notebook from her thick coat and began writing about today's employers...

'Day 24...The first employer was a boy who was being bullied because...'

She kept writing and writing as she walked out of the building.

'The last employer of the day was a friend who was sick because of cancer. She was also being tortu...'

She kept writing and writing, until she felt nothing once again. Her expression was back to being dull, along with her eyes.

'She was my 36th employer.'

Her phone suddenly rang.

"Hime-sama..."

A familiar voice gently boomed through the device.

"A customer wants your autograph, if you could return early..."

"Sure." she cheerfully replied.

'Another one of these selfish retards...' she thought.

"I'll be on my way."

She hung up and sighed, "Let's keep pretending until I find him or..."

She inserted Judith's letter into one of her coat's many pockets and grabbed another one.

"Gon Freecs..." she uttered the name of the person who owned the letter in a very dreary tone, "I have a feeling that maybe, you'll come to me."

She continued to walk down the dark pavement, staring at the letter with such lifeless eyes. She kept thinking and thinking even if she bumped into multiple people.

"Hey,"

She finally noticed one shout.

"Watch where you're going!" the man let go of the woman he was with just to flail his arms like a madman.

Hime gave him one of her dreadful glares as she clicked her tongue, making the man shudder in fear. She continued to walk back to her café, still having complex thoughts.

'I am cold-hearted.'
