"Well everyone," Delvious briefed. "We have a new member of the Underground. Her name is Kenny Victoria." As he said this, Kenny stepped forward next to him, nodding her head in common curtesy. "Let's get some rest; we have some missions tomorrow." Everyone said their goodnights and went to their respective rooms. Flame closed the door to her single suite and sighed. Lifting her shirt up, she cautiously cut off her bandages and inspected the wound underneath. The gash was beginning to heal, but her active behaviour meant it was reopened and had started bleeding again slightly. Exhaling, Flame walked over to her cabinet and grabbed her first aid kit. She grabbed a spare bandage. Last one. Not like it mattered; there were plenty in the supply room down the corridor. She wrapped it round her waist with expert precision, every loop of the bandage fitting her curves perfectly. Three knocks sounded on the door.
"Flame?" It was Winter. "Can I come in?" Flame responded and the 15 year old walked into the room.
"I came to see how you were." He had an ice pack under a bandage wrapped around his head where a large bruise had begun to form.
"I'm fine, thanks." Flame smiled, pulling her long hair back to tie into a braid. A warm silence filled the room as the two hybrids looked at each other. Winter's eyes glossed over, and he ran over to Flame, taking her into his arms. He stood, embracing his fox companion as he cried silently. Flame was shocked; it was so out of character for Winter to break down.
"Hey," She cooed. "What's wrong?" Winter lifted his head off of her shoulder and looked at her.
"I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to save you." Flame smiled in a gentle way, pulling Winter back in for another hug.
"I'm here aren't I? And I'll always be here." She pulled back. "I'm not going to leave you Winter. You don't need to worry about that." Winter's cheeks began to glow a rosy pink colour, and Flame's were starting to colour themselves. Their hearts felt like they were beating at a million miles per hour as they moved closer to one another. Winter's arms snaked around her waist and Flame's arms wrapped around his neck. They were only five centimeters apart.
Four.
Three.
Two.
One.
"Winter!" A voice echoed through the halls. It was Delvious. The two moved apart unable to speak. Winter left the room; silent and blushing madly, leaving Flame in her room with blood red cheeks. They had almost kissed.
"What does that mean for us? Does he like me?" Confused and feeling quite alone, Flame slipped into bed and slept softly.
I was in a large room filled with darkness. Red velvet chairs aligned upwards in a sloping style showed that I was in a theatre. I couldn't see the stage, but I knew it was there. Suddenly, the lights burst into life, illuminating the wooden stage. There was a piano, and Winter was sat on the black seat ready to play. I was so confused; since she could Winter play? A sweet silky melody began sounding as the silver haired boy started to play, and sing.
"Shadows fill an empty heart
As love is fading
From all the things that we are
But are not saying
Can we see beyond the stars
And make it to the dawn?

Change the colors of the sky
And open up to
The ways you made me feel alive
The ways I loved you
For all the things that never died
To make it through the night
Love will find you."

I recognised the song; it was 'what about now' by daughtry. The way Winter sang just blew my mind. He was amazing!
"What about now?
What about today?
What if you're making me all that I was meant to be?
What if our love never went away?
What if it's lost behind words we could never find?
Baby, before it's too late
What about now?"

I found myself walking closer to the stage, down the black steps and onto the front row of seats. I was so enticed by his voice; he was a siren calling for me, voice so angelic that it would attract anyone.
"The sun is breaking in your eyes
To start a new day
This broken heart can still survive
With a touch of your grace
Shadows fade into the light
I am by your side
Where love will find you.

What about now?
What about today?
What if you're making me all that I was meant to be?
What if our love, it never went away?
What if it's lost behind words we could never find?
Baby, before it's too late
What about now?"

I felt tears run down my cheeks as he sang. It was beautiful.
"Now that we're here
Now that we've come this far
Just hold on
There is nothing to fear
For I am right beside you
For all my life
I am yours

What about now?
What about today?
What if you're making me all that I was meant to be?
What if our love never went away?
What if it's lost behind words we could never find?

What about now?
What about today?
What if you're making me all that I was meant to be?
What if our love never went away?
What if it's lost behind words we could never find?
Baby, before it's too late
Baby, before it's too late
Baby, before it's too late
What about now?"
He turned to me, smiling brightly. He stood. He walked down the steps to me. He took my hands and pulled me up. He leaned towards me, and I leaned towards him. He brushed his lips on mine, and we shared our first kiss in solitude.
