I'd rather stay home, all my friends want to hang out this summer. If I go I'll have no social life!!!
Now Natasha, my dad cut in, this is a chance for you to experience new things, meet new people. You need to get out of the house.
I could do that here! Please please please let me stay???
No it's already been arranged I want you to pack your stuff today.
I ran to my room and began to cry, nobody had asked me anything. Now I have to go away for the whole summer away from all my friends and everything I know. Whats so special about the country anyway?
Ugh I don't even know what to pack...
I'll just throw in a little of everything.
I decided to call my friend to tell her about the news.
I tried but I can't stay, I guess I'll be back sometime to see you, I said to my best friend Mia.
I'm sure you'll be fine Natasha, just make sure you text me everyday okay?
Okay don't do anything too fun without me, I laughed through the phone.
No promises, she said and then we hung up.
Next morning
Ugh I didn't get any sleep last night. I was just thinking maybe this isn't such a bad idea. This will give me the opportunity to get away from all the drama in my life and become a different person.
I slowly get out of my comfortable bed and go to get ready to leave.
I took a long hot shower and picked out my outfit I wanted everyone to see me leave in. It was a pair of Jean shorts, a pink tank top with the word flawless across it in silver lettering and my black sandals. I double checked my suitcase and went to eat breakfast.
After a while my brother and sister were ready to go too.
Everyone piled into the car and my adventure began.
I was told the ride would be a long one so I came prepared. I brought my drawing pad, my iPad so I could watch movies and listen to music and my favorite book, L.A Candy.
What was it like last year when you went? I asked my sister.
Well it was pretty fun I guess. We went outside a lot, ummmm I don't know really.
I gave my summer up for this?? I thought to myself.
One really fun thing we did do was go to this camp in Tennessee though, she added on.
Okay so my summer won't be a total bust..
We met up with my grandparents at a Meijer that was about an hour away from their house and transfered all of our stuff from one car to the other.
Hi grandma, how are you i asked trying to be polite as could.
i didn't want her to know i didn't want to be there
Hey im doing good now that i get to see you guys, youre gonna have a lot of fun this summer
unlikely!! i thought to myself
It took about another hour of driving until we finally arrived at the house
Ill have to admit the house was beautiful for its age but as i was eyeing it, i noticed the windows looked like they were being painted.
Hey grandpa have you been painting the windows?
i dont know why it mattered but i had to ask
No i have a guy whos doing it.
As soon as he said it i forgot all about it
Just bring your bags inside kids cause we are going to night service at the church soon and i dont want to be late, yelled grandma as if we werent all in the same car
I grabbed all my stuff and as soon as i entered the house i was more or less attacked by the cutest dog ever
I set down my stuff and sat down to pet the dog when i saw something flash by the front window
I think theres someone outside waving at us i said
