It had been a few months since that last incident. As expected, mudblood had been expelled from Hogwarts, Harry kept sending me icy glares and Fudge kept disappearing and returning at random times, most of them she had either a mouse or a a bird in her mouth. I had become my fathers favourite and he allowed me to call him father but i still had to bow in his presence.

Draco and i became better friends while every day, i tried solving the riddle my mother had left me. My cutting continued on and I wore the Slytherin necklace under my clothes, it made me feel safe.

Today we had all gathered in the great hall, as Umbridge had to make a announcement. I was sitting next to Draco, ignoring Potter as he burned holes in my back.

"Hello children, today as many of you have heard, i have a important announcement to make. It is tradition for the wizard world to hold a great ball every year in a magic school. I have noticed that Hogwarts does not do this and i'm sure all of you would really enjoy it. That is why, this year, the Christmas ball will be held here, in Hogwarts. Just like two years ago, Durmstrang and Beauxbatons will be joining us, this time though for the ball and not the tri wizard tournament! I'm sure each and every one of you will find somebody to go with and each and every one of you will enjoy it to the fullest! Now, professor McGonnagal will explain the rest."

I groaned along with some others, a ball, really? However, the tri wizard tournament? What was that?
"What's a tri wizard tournament?" I whispered, nudging Draco.

"You don't know?" He questioned, raising his eyebrow  as I slowly shook my head. "It was held here in Hogwarts a couple of years ago. Basically, one person from each school is chosen and they have to complete three dangerous tasks. The winner earns eternal glory."

More questions appeared in my head, but I ignored them as McGonaggal started talking:"Fellow students, all I have to say is that this ball will be held on Christmas Eve. The two other school will arrive tomorrow, for now, I would like it if you all followed me outside, where we will all be learning how to dance properly."

I groaned as I stood up, following the example of the others. I tried to walk when I realised that my skirt was stuck with a nail under the table. "Pansy." I growled. I knew it was her, she had been playing these kinds of pranks since the day we met.

"Draco!" I called out, as I couldn't get my skirt off the nail, as if a spell was used.

He whipped his hair around, looking at me, then down to my skirt as his mouth formed a 'o'. He walked over to me, clearly amused. "Help me?" I asked him, tilting my face.

"What if I accidentally pull your skirt off?" Draco said, a smirk on his face. I couldn't help but roll my eyes:"Come on idiot, everyone's left!" I exclaimed.

Draco started working on my skirt, before replying:"Not everyone." He jabbed a thumb towards the gryffindor table, where Potter was sitting, staring out in front of him. I couldn't help but smirk, he was the boy who lived, and by simply breathing he had become famous, as if he had done some great noble deed. He was always surrounded by his friends who made such a fuss about him and would give up their lives for him. Now he was all alone, and he was feeling what I felt.

"Come on!" Draco urged, grabbing my arm. Only then I realised that he had somehow got the nail off and was now pulling on my arm. I was about to give in when a sharp voice breathed:"Riddle."

Draco's grip tightened as he stopped pulling. "Potter." I said in a equally vicious voice. "I know you did all of it." He stated.

"All of what, Potter?" I questioned, my voice laced with venom.

"You got Hermiome expelled. You killed Ron. I know you did." He spat.

"Come on Curse, this loser has lost his mind straight after his friends." Draco sneered, before pulling me along.

We made it outside and tried sneaking trough the students towards the front, hoping nobody would realise we're late. "Ms Riddle. Malfoy." A voice hissed. I turned around my eyes wide as they met Snape's. "Detention. After the Christmas holidays at 7:00 in the astronomy tower. Don't. Be. Late." With that he turned around, leaving me and Draco behind as our eyebrows knitted together in confusion.

"After the holidays?" I asked. "Somethings fishy." With that I turned my attention to McGonaggal, who was clapping her hands. "Girls in a line. Boys on the other side." I waved a small goodbye to Draco, before joining the line on the left.

"Now, all of you face each other." I turned towards the boys, realising that the person opposite me was none other than Blaise himself. He grinned widely at me as I rolled my eyes. "Now dance like I told you to. When I clap my hands, girls move on to the next partner."

I groaned as Blaise settled his hand on my waist, the other one grabbing my hand. I put mines on his shoulder, feeling awfully disgusted of our closeness.

The music turned on, as i started dancing how my father had thought me. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. The words kept replying my head as we danced, him occasionally lifting me into the air. McGonaggal clapped her hands and Blaise made me spin around, before passing me on to the next boy as if I were a simple toy, to be used by each and every male.

To my disgust, it was Potter. I refused to touch him, but couldn't do anything as his hand snakes up my waist. I hated every minute of it. Every second of even touching that half blood made me want to throw up, his eyes made me want to stab him and his sad expression made me want to kick his ugly little face. I was at the point of fainting when I was unexpectedly thrown into somebody else's hands.

Heat rushed over my body as I looked up to meet a pair of beautiful grey eyes. His lips were so close... so close...

I was shaken out of my thoughts as he pulled me up. "I hated watching you dance with Potter." He whispered in my ear, his face flushed with disgust.
"I hated touching him myself." I agreed.

We both smiled at each other as we occasionally talked, the whole world disappearing around us. He lifted me into the air, swinging me around before settling me back gently. We floated trough the air, dancing like there were no tomorrow. "Oh my, oh my!" Somebody exclaimed, shaking me out of my own little world as my feet hit the ground.

"Excellent. Never seen before! Incredible!" Professor McGonaggal spoke, staring at us. I looked up at Draco with confusion. What was she talking about. "I think tomorrow's opening dance couple has been decided." She finally said, getting a grip. "Malfoy and Riddle. Hopefully your performance there will be equally as good." And with that she walked away, dismissing the students.
