4 years later

"how does that sound?" i ask, moving the headphones down to rest around my neck and nervously begin to chew on my bottom lip.

"yoongi hyung that was great! that beat was so sick! how long have you been working on that?" my close friend, hoseok asks. his smile easing my nerves down.

i began working with a company almost two years ago for the music business, but only a few weeks ago my boss asked me to send a demo of one of my works and i've been stressing about it ever since.

"uh, a couple of weeks only..i know it's not the best but my time was limited and-"

"what are you talking about hyung that was amazing." he exclaims, but a part of me has that fear that he might just be saying that to make me feel better. i keep that to myself though, thanking him with a slight smile.

"hey how's the little trouble maker?" hoseok chuckles, and i dramatically sigh.

"he's too smart for his age, and sneaky too." i chuckle, looking around the small studio we were in.

it wasn't much but it was perfect for me. i had a desk where all of my equipment was set up, which consisted of: my laptop, piano, mic, stacks and stacks of papers filled with music notes and lyrics thrown messily around. on one of the walls were shelves filled with every hip hop track that inspired me. the other walls had posters and special albums, awards that our company has won the past few years.

this is where i met hoseok, he was one of the rappers, a great one too but he never liked to admit that he was good.

"he gets it from you, you shouldn't act so surprised." he laughed grabbing his jacket as i got up to grab mine, looking at my laptop i checked the time.

10:14pm

"shit i have to go, the sitter leaves at 10:30." i panic, shutting my laptop closed. hoseok opened the door for us.

"hey i can drop you off, its quicker than walking." hoseok offered.

i didn't live too far from the building so walking wasn't too much of a hassle but nonetheless driving would help me a lot right now.

"yes please."

"yeah no problem it's been awhile since i've seen him anyway maybe i could say hi real quick?" hoseok asks as we leave the building and enter his car.

"yeah yeah of course." i smile reassuringly to him. he smiles back and starts the car. i begin to anxiously tap on my leg as we make our way to my house. i didn't mean to stay at the studio for such a long time but i've had a lot of things on my mind recently. mostly about my son but he's always on my mind.

"hey yoongi hyung?" i snap out of my thoughts and stop tapping my leg, giving my full attention to hoseok.

"yeah?" he looks at me for a moment before looking back to the road.

"u-uh does..has taejun ever asked about his mom yet..?" he fumbles over his words and i stare blankly at him.

"i'm sorry for asking it's just-"

"no it's alright." i cut him off, and stare boringly out the window.

"well have you met someone yet?" i can somehow feel his smile and i chuckle at how much happiness this boy holds.
