Chapter 8: So... It's a date?

"Eh?!" Obito and Rin exclaimed simultaneously.

But I didn't get to see their face. They thought.

"Well, if you'll excuse us, we have some business to attend to." Kakashi said, getting up and handing the owner of the place the two coupons.

Rin and Obito watch you both walk out of the restaurant. Obito smiled to himself, blushing lightly as a thought popped into his head. 'Me and Rin, are together...in a restaurant.. alone... It's as if... WE'RE ON A DATE!!!' He thought to himself, face now a brilliant shade of pink that would put even Sakura's hair to shame.

"Well that was random."You say as you and Kakashi roam the now almost empty streets of Konoha.

"Yeah.." Kakashi agreed with you, a still annoyed by the fact that the 'date' was rudely interrupted.

You noticed that Kakashi wasn't in his best of moods and thought of a way to cheer him up. Looking up to the sky you saw that the sky was beginning to darken. Then you remembered something. Your special, secret place. Yeah, it is your special spot but you were willing to share it if it meant making Kakashi happy.

"Uh, Hatake?" You ask hesitantly. He looked you in the eyes, giving you his full attention.

"Is it okay if I show you something?" You ask him.

He looks at you questioningly but nods his head anyways. You gave him a bright closed eye smile and grabbed his hand. You pulled him out of the village back to where you found yourself when you first arrived in this world. You pulled him up on a treetop and faced the direction of which the sun was setting.

Kakashi looks at it in awe.

"Beautiful isn't it?" You ask him, not taking your eyes off the gorgeous scene.

Kakashi nods with widen eyes as he looked at the view. Although, it wasn't exactly the sunset he was focused on. You were a bit ahead of him as was the sunset.

He was memorized by your figure, illuminated by the light of the falling sun. A mixture of orange, pink, purple, yellow, and blue outlined your figure as your hair flowed in the gentle breeze. As he moved closer he could see your (e/c) eyes shimmering in the soft light, reflecting back the colors painted in the sky along with the few light purple clouds that was scattered across it.

To sum it up, you looked like an angel. And this only made Kakashi's feelings for you grow deeper.

As you stared off into the sunset you thought about some things. These things were very important.

"Hey Hatake-kun?" You spoke up.

"...You can call me by my first name. You don't have to be so formal." Kakashi responded.

"Huh?"

"..."

"Oh, okay, uh- Kakashi-kun then."

"What if I was to randomly disappear one day?"

Kakashi's eyes narrowed a bit. "What do you mean? Where is this coming from?"

"I don't know, I was just thinking."

Kakashi stayed silent.

"If I was to leave, would you still remember me..... even if I was gone for a long time?"

"Of course I would remember you. Even if you were to never to show up again."

"That... makes me so happy.." You give him a close eye smile before looking back at the sunset. It was a couple minutes later when Kakashi started to wonder something as well. Turning his head in your direction he called out to you.

"Hey, (Y/n)." There was no answer. He called out a little bit louder again, trying to catch your attention before he noticed that you were wavering slightly. Your head would occasionally bob up and down as you fought the urge to sleep as your breathing slowed steadily. Noticing this, Kakashi spoke up again.

"If your tired, we can head back now."

You didnt respond but instead fell back, much to Kakashi's surprise.

"(Y/N)!!" Kakashi yelled as he jumped to your falling figure. He was able to catch you before you hit the ground. He panicked when you weren't moving but calmed when he saw you was still breathing. 'She's asleep.' He ftowned softly to himself as he shift you so he was holding you bridal style.

Shaking his head, for he was unable to face palm, he began to walk back to the village with you in his arms.

He finally arrived at your house. He tried to open the door but it was locked. Guess it's back to the window. Walking out of the apartment he began to walk up the wall to your bedroom window. Once he got to it, he slid it open and came in the best as he can without harming your sleeping self.

Gently placing you in your bed, he tucked you in and lightly kissed your forehead. Just as he was about to leave through your window, you stirred in your bed and murmured his name in your sleep. Kakashi looked back at you with a shocked expression. 'Is she dreaming... about me?' He asked himself. You looked so peaceful. He smiled and blushed lightly before exiting out your bedroom window, closing it behind him.

Now entering through his own bedroom window, he laid on his bed thinking about you. Mostly about what you said earlier about you disappearing. He felt scared; scared of losing you. He shook the thoughts out of his head dismissively. 'That would never happen, so no need to worry about it.' He thought to himself. Then he started to slowly drift off to sleep with the image of you in the sunset burned into his memory, making it the last thing he saw before he fell into a deep slumber.
