Chapter 8: So... It's a date?

"It's just so you don't get lost." Kakashi says as he continues to pull you through the crowded streets.

You smile to yourself and continue walking. "Yeah, that's probably it." You think to yourself with a pang of sadness.

Your almost at your destination when you get stopped by Kurenai and Asuma.

"Hey guys. How are you?" Kurenai says, starting a light conversation.

"We're good, how about you guys?" You answer politely.

"We're great! thanks for asking." Kurenai responds.

The conversation carries on until Kurenai points out something.

"I was wondering, why are you two holding hands?" Kurenai asks with a sly smirk growing on her face.

You and Kakashi looked down to see that you two were indeed, still holding hands.

You quickly come up with a response so they didn't think of it the wrong way. "He thought it would be best if we did this so I didn't get lost in the crowd."

Kurenai's smirk grew larger as Asuma started grow a smirk of his own. 'Kakashi you sly dog', Asuma thought to himself.

It was starting to get awkward so Kakashi spoke up.

"There is somewhere we have to be right now, (Y/n), let's go or else we'll be late." He said as he pulled you away from the two.

About 2 minutes later you guys finally reached the restaurant. You and Kakashi walked inside and took a seat. You study the menu before ordering as Kakashi did the same.

You both give your thanks for the food and look at your food. Glancing to the side you noticed that Kakashi hasn't touched his food either. "You gonna eat?" You question him.

"What about you?" He asks, noticing that you haven't touched yours either.

"Yeah..." You say as your words drift off.

"Then so am I." He says looking you straight in the eyes.

He slowly lift his hand to his mask, getting ready to pull it down and eat.

You turn around to let him have his privacy as he eat.

"Your not gonna stare me down as I eat?" He questions you, obviously confused by your actions.

"You wear a mask for a reason do you not? Whatever that reason is, you probably don't want me gawking at you, and I respect your privacy." You state nonchalantly, still not facing him.

Kakashi was stunned. No one has ever said or done that for him before, and honestly he didn't know what to say. He was left utterly speechless.

Just as he was about to pull down his mask, Rin and Obito came crashing in, interrupting you too.

"Hey guys! Funny seeing you hear!" Rin said with her usual happy voice.

You and Kakashi look up and see Rin and Obito right behind you.

"Yeah, funny finding you guys here too." You say with an equal amount of peppiness, only adding a hint of sarcasm filled annoyance.

Obito and Kakashi seemed to notice the tension between you and Rin and stayed quiet, not wanting to get in the middle of whatever was going on between you two.

Rin took her seat next to Kakashi and Obito sat next to Rin. This way you guys were sitting in like this:

(Obito)(Rin)(Kakashi)([Y/n])

As Rin and Obito began to order, you and Kakashi took that opportunity to finish your ramen while they weren't looking. Once they were both ordering they looked to their left to see you both had already finished your ramen.
