Chapter 8: So... It's a date?

Slowing my pace, I stopped just a few feet in front of her. She was hunched over, holding a kunai knife in her hand. She seemed to be contemplating as she murmured things in a language I did not understand.

As her grip loosened on her kunai, she shook her head and looked up.

" Good morning, Hatake-kun." She says as she turns to me, finally acknowledging my presence.

"Good morning." I greet her.

"How long were here?" She questioned me, pulling out a small notebook in the process. She then proceeded to scribble some things down in a language I, once again, didn't understand.

"About 2 minutes." I answer her.

"My apologies." She says as she quickly puts the note pad away before getting up and bowing in an apologetic matter.

"No it's fine, really." I say as I give her a closed eye smile, waving her back down.

"Did you come here to train as well?.. You seem troubled. Is there something you wish to ask me? Is that why you're here?" She questions me once again, tilting her head to the side in a rather cute manner.

"Actually..." I pulled out the two tickets from my pocket and showed them to her. "This new restaurant just came out and I happened to have two tickets. I figured I might as well invite you."

"Really?" She says as her (e/c) eyes begin to shine brightly.

"Yeah, so, you in?"

"I would love to... B-but can I get ready first, I'm covered in dirt and sweat." She says with a closed eye smile as she sweat drops.

"Sure, see you at three?" I ask her.

"Yeah. Three sounds good." She assures.

And with that we both walked to her house then go off on our separate paths. She calls out to me before I could walk to my house though.

"Umm... Hatake-kun?" She says. "What type of restaurant is it? So, you know... I know how to dress.." She asks.

"Don't worry, it's not formal. You can wear casual clothing." I tell her as I walk to my shared house.

[Third person's P.O.V.]

You watch him walk to his house before retreating into my own. "I'm home!" I shout as I entered the house.

"Welcome back, how was training?" Kushina replies

"Successfully exhausting."

"Did you see Kakashi?"

"Yeah, why?"

"He was looking for you. Mind telling me what that was about?" She smirked as she walked out of the kitchen and stood a few feet in front of me.

"He invited me out to eat somewhere. Not much information given though."

"A date?" she wiggles her eyebrows at you suggestively.

You blush at the sheer thought of it while waving it off. "D-doubt it."

"Awe~ You're stuttering. How cute~"

"I-I always stutter! Leave me alone..." You sulk.

"Alright, alright. Who's paying?"

You shrug. "He said he had tickets, so I guess him... I'll be leaving at three to go meet him there."

"Alright, I don't want to hold you up from getting ready."

"Thanks. If you need me, I'll be in the shower."
