Then Cammie walked out. "I'd like to audition Ms. Chambers." Shannon whispered in astonishment "What?" As Ms. Chambers spoke. "Time limit means something in the world of theater young lady. The individual auditions are long over and there are simply no other pairs." Then Shannon spoke from around the corner. "I'll sing with her." Then she walked out in the open. "Shannon Beveridge." Ms.Chambers said in surprise. "Where's your sport posse or whatever it's called?" Shannon answered. "Team. But I'm here alone actually I'm here to sing with her." Ms.Chambers nodded. "Yes well. We take shows very seriously here at East High I called for the pairs audition and you didn't respond free period is now over." As Ms. Chambers was heading out Shannon tried to get her to reconsider. "She has an amazing voice." Then Ms. Chambers made her word final. "Perhaps the next musicale." Then as she walked out Bria got up with her papers but then tripped on the foot of the panio bench and her papers flew everywhere. Shannon and Cammie ran up to the stage to help her. As they ran up and Bria saw Shannon she got nervous. "So your a composer?" Shannon asked Bria stayed quiet. "You wrote the song Shea and Vanessa just sang?" Bria nodded. " And the entire show?" Bria nodded again. "Well that's really cool I can't wait to hear the rest of the show." Shannon held out her hand to help Bria up. "So why are you do afraid of those two? I mean it is your show." Bria looked confused. "It is?" Shannon tried to explain a little more. "Isn't the composer of a show kinda like the playmaker in basketball?" Bria still looked confused. "Playmaker?" Shannon tried again to explain. "You know that one who makes everybody else look good? I mean without you there is no show. Your the playmaker here Bria." Bria smiled. "I am?" Both Shannon and Cammie nodded. "Do you wanna hear how the duet is supposed to sound?" Bria asked in excitement. She ran to the piano and Shannon and Cammie followed. As Bria started to play Shannon began to sing

Shannon:
It's hard to believe that I couldn't see you were always there beside me

Cammie:
Thought I was alone with no one to hold

Both:
But you were always right beside me. This feelings like no other I want you to know. I've never had someone that knows me like you do the way you do. I've never had someone as good for me as you no one like you. So lonely before I finally found what I've been looking for.

As Shannon and Cammie looked at each other as soon as they finished singing they looked at Bria. "Wow that was nice." That's when Ms. Chambers appeared. "Beveridge, Scott you have a callback." Cammie and Shannon were shocked. "Bria give then the duet from the second act. Work on it with them." As Bria was trying to plan callbacks with them Ms. Chambers walked away as Shannon watched her and then after Shannon got the sheet music she asked to herself. "What?"
