The Pokemon Whisperer

Chapter 6; No Entry

Melody swung her legs over the low fence, flinching as her jeans snagged on the barbed wire. She hung her jacket on one of the 'NO ENTRY' signs.

"Mel! wait up!" a voice cried.

Melody cursed under her breath.

Jake tripped over the fence and tumbled into some poison ivy. Then he screeched and scrambled to his feet.

Melody could see the grumpy little skunk raising it's tail...

She groaned and trekked off into the woods.

Jake remained frozen by the skunk, mumbling, "Please Mr. Skunk! What did I ever do to you? Well I did fall on you, but- ACK!!!"

Melody rolled her eyes as she hopped over an old log. "You know, none of this would have happened if you hadn't followed me out here." she called.

Unfortunately for Jake, the skunk smell had disturbed a nearby bear, and it seemed pretty dire in his mind.

Melody just laughed and hiked up the hill.

"Hey, wait, MEL! Don't leave me here... Crap." The bear had knock him into a thorny rose bush, which housed a squirrel, who knocked a wasp nest out of the tree.

And their target was now Jake.

This is about where the real action and storyline begin- the climax.
