Hey. Me again. Hi!
OK, so today I was the ONLY one who auditioned for the All-State band. Yesterday, Dr. Karahalios asked who all was wanting to do All-State. A good portion raised their hands, including myself. I was very excited, as I am usually the only one who likes that sort of thing! Then Dr. K. asked who all was ready to record that day. Nobody raised their hands. Not even me. I still had to go over some parts, right? Then Dr. K asked who would be ready for tomorrow.
Only me. Only I raised my hand. Only me.
Now it is today, and I got to record my pieces for the judges. Dr. K. will either send them tonight or tomorrow. Today was the last day that everyone would have been able to record.
When I was finished, I walked into the band room and sat down in my chair. Dr. K. smiled at me and asked,
"Who else is ready to record?"
No one else raised their hands. All around the room, people had started to say,
"WHOO! Go Renae!"
"Good for you!"
"Yeah, Renae!"
I smiled and remaind silent. Just as I always do. Band went on as usual. It was a pretty good day, all things considered.
