Ibang babae na naman? The playboy life, She thought to herself. Napaiwas na lang siya ng tingin dito.

"Hindi girlfriend. I'm talking about my turtle. Jealous again?"

"Jealous mo mukha mo," She murmured to herself, audible enough for Pat to hear. Tumawa na naman ito sa narinig.

"Pinagalitan ako ni Ate nung nakita niyang hinahalikan ko si Mindy. Madumi raw kasi. I didn't care though; she's so cute. Every time I kiss her, tinatago niya sa loob ng shell yung ulo niya pagkatapos. Kapag baba ko naman nung katawan niya sa sahig, biglang maglalakad siyang palayo. I was really fond of her. Unfortunately, wala na siya," He said with a sad smile. "But the good news is— I have a new one. But this one, I'm going to force her out of her shell."

"Force her out of her shell? Ang harsh mo! Edi papata—" She realized Pat was smiling at her; makahulugan ang ngiti nito. "Ako ba? Yung new one?"

"You'll be living with me for a short period of time, so parang ganun. Stop running away from me, okay?"

"Bakit mo yun ginawa? Nabaliw ka na rin ba dahil nababaliw na ko kanina?" She stared at him with disbelief. Hindi parin siya makapaniwala sa desisyon nito na magpanggap.

"I didn't expect that I really look like your fiancé, I mean, that similar— to the point that your mom thought I was him!" He said, still smiling. "Bakit ko ginawa? Well, I just thought, maybe it's the best thing to do." He shrugged.

"Wala ba siyang nahalata?"

"Actually, she told me she noticed that there's something different in the way I move and talk. Sinabi ko na lang sa kanya na nag-aral ako sa Spain, tried to do everything to better myself for the last few years kaya may pagbabago. Sinabi ko rin na nagkita lang tayo uli this year. So why did you not tell her that Greg has already passed away? Bawal niyang malaman?"

She sighed. "Long story."

"Okay, we have plenty of time soon. You should tell me more about Greg."

Natahimik na lang siya at napatango. Of course, she needs to give him some information about Goyong. Paano nga naman nito magagawa ng maayos ang pagpanggap kung hindi man lang nito kilala kung sino iyon? Now, great, she needs to figure out how she would tell their story without sounding like a weirdo. Greg was a hero who time-travelled in the present time and they fell in love and—God, who would believe in a fantasy story like that? Sila Paulo lang ata dahil nakasalamuha nila si Goyong. Mukhang magdedebate pa ang utak niya kung sasabihin niya kay Pat ang bagay na iyon o hindi.

After they finished eating the flan, Pat insisted that he would be washing the plates; umayaw naman si Miho at sinabing siya na lang dahil ito ang bisita.

"Ano nga pala nangyari kay Kazuo? " She almost forgot about him.

"Tinanong ko siya kung anong pinaguusapan niyo. That Jap guy was honest. He said he wanted to have a one-night stand with you because you look like a virgin. Sabi ko, hindi ka worth it. Hindi ka na virgin, hindi ka pa marunong. A waste of time."

Miho's mouth dropped open.

"I just did that to persuade him to look for another girl. Don't get mad," He said, laughing.

Pero totoo yung sinabi mo, She thought while convincing herself that there's nothing wrong with not being experienced enough about that kind of thing.

"I even gave him an address where he would most likely get what he's looking for. I told him to leave and never bother you anymore. Then I punched him, isang beses lang at hindi naman masyadong malakas tapos umalis na siya. He thanked me before leaving. It was a little weird."
