CHAPTER 3♥

'Oh wait! Late na ko sa first class kooo!!'

ELLIE'S POV

Lakad-takbo na ang ginagawa ko papunta sa classroom. Maya't maya ako tumitingin sa orasan ko para bantayan ang oras. As if naman mahihinto ko yung oras diba? hahaha. Well, there's no time for jokes. Waaaahhh malapit na mag-10am!! Konti nalang din yung students na nakikita kong naglalakad sa hallway. Malamang yan nakapunta na  yung mga yun sa kanya-kanyang class nila.

1 minute..

30 seconds...

I felt relieved that I reached my first class on time. Huminga ako ng malalim then pumasok na ko sa classroom.

Ngiting-ngiti akong pumasok sa classroom kaya lang napatigil ako sa pagpasok nang biglang may magsalita. Kalahati tuloy ng katawan ko ay nasa labas while yung isa pang kalahati ay nasa loob ng airconditioned classroom namin.

"You're late."

Uhmm.. a guy told me coldly and put his nerdy glasses off. 'Wait! Don't tell me he's my prof?! It's just that, he's looks so young and it seems like we have the same age. Well, he also looks familiar huh.' sa isip-isip ko.

I looked at my classmates. And to my surprise, some boys and girls are snickering at me. I became puzzled by the expression on their faces. Oo nga pala nasa free section ako kaya naman I get to meet different people in every subject I take kaya wala akong kaclose masyado.

I completely entered the room then smiled awkwardly sa prof? ko. "I'm so sorry sir." I bowed my head to show my sincerity.

Papunta na sana ako sa nakita kong vacant seat kaso.. "Stop right there miss?" his face like 'I'm-waiting-for-your-answer' look.

"Miss Ellie Nicole de Asis sir."

"Do you know that there's a punishment for latecomers in my class?" sabi niya habang iniikutan niya ako. Yung mga lalaki naman sa harap biglang naghagikgikan. Anong nakakatawa? Nakita ko rin yung iba na nagpause sa mga ginagawa nila. Tumingin sila saglit saakin then umiling-iling habang nakangiti sabay balik sa mga ginagawa nila. Napakunot nalang ako. How weird?

"Sorry I'm not aware of that sir." I said still bowing my head. He's interrogating me as if I did a crime. Nakakahiya tuloy. 

"Well, ignorance of the law is not an excuse miss?" then medyo napaisip siya with matching hawak sa chin niya then parang nagkaron bigla ng lightbulb. Nakalimutan ata niya yung surname ko. "Yeah, right miss de Asis." He smiled playfully and triumphantly.
