“Berklee is in Massachusetts... I never applied there.”

“Someone must have applied for you...”

“You don't think Marcel did, do you?”

She shrugs, “You might want to ask... It seems like something he would do.”

Marcel's POV

The waves crash gently on the shore. I'm floating in the water, relaxing under the sun.

Marcel! Marcel! Marcel!”

The waves become choppy and I'm bouncing up and down. I keep going under, I can barely stay afloat.

Marcel! Wake up!”

I snap out of my dream and look up to see Cami. She's on top of me, bouncing up and down. Her beanie is flopping all over the place and she smiles when she sees I'm awake.

“Finally, it took you long enough,” she says.

“Good morning to you too. Can you get off me now?” I mumble.

She smiles and obediently sits at the edge of the bed.

“So, I got an acceptance letter today,” she says as I put on my glasses.

“Really? Did you get in?!” I ask, sitting up.

She nods.

“Well, where is it?!”

“Berklee.”

“Berklee as in the music school?”

She nods again.

“In Massachusetts?”

“Yep..”

He jumps out of bed excitedly, “Cami!! That's fantastic! Are you going to go? I didn't even know you applied there!”

“First, neither did I... And, uh, you're in your boxers,” she says, smiling.

I feel my cheeks heat up, “Oops.” I put on some sweatpants and sit down beside her, “What do you mean you didn't apply there. You had to apply to get accepted.”

“I didn't apply there, which means someone had to apply for me.”

I furrow my eyebrows in confusion, “So you're saying someone applied to a college without telling you?”

“Yes. Is that someone you?”

“No, it's not.”

She raises her eyebrows.

“I promise, I had absolutely nothing to do with it.”

She sighs, “Maybe they have the wrong person...”

“I highly doubt it. Cami, someone must have sent in a video or something. How else would they have found you?”

She leans her head up against my shoulder, “I don't know. Berklee is so expensive though, I'd never be able to afford it. Especially the flights there and back. Even if I did apply, I wouldn't have gone...”

I take a deep breath and hold her hands inside mine, “You'll get accepted somewhere, don't worry.”

“I haven't been accepted anywhere yet. You've been accepted to every college you applied to.”

I blush. That wasn't the right thing to say...

“Don't compare yourself to me. You are you and that's the best you can possibly be.”
