Prologue

"Lexi!" Alexis heard her brother, Aaron shout as he entered their apartment and slammed the door shut behind him.

"Lexi!" He shouted again. This made her worry. She wondered why he was screaming like a maniac.

"Lexi, pack your stuff. We are leaving." He said in a rush as he entered her room and rushed out immediately running to his room.

Alexis followed him there and saw him frantically running around grabbing his stuff and dumping them in bags.

"What the hell, Arrow? What's the rush?" she asked him.

"It's him. He's definitely got us bad this time. It's time to run."

That's all he needed to say.

She rushed to her room and just as frantically started packing her things.

This was expected sooner or later, so they were ready with boxes and suitcases ready to be packed and shipped off.

An hour later, the apartment was spotless.

They had taken all of their belongings and started loading them in their cars.

They didn't have any major furniture that would need to be taken along. It could be left back as they moved.

"Where are we going now?" Lexi asked her brother as they quickly descended the steps of the old building.

"I can't tell you the name of the place right now, we have his men spying on us. I'll fit in the location in the GPS of your car and follow it." He said lowly and barely audible for Alexis too.

She just nodded and followed him knowing better than to pester him with any more questions at that moment.

After he entered the location in her car, he rushed to his car and signalled her to drive closer.

Alexis started her car and brought it next to his. They rolled down their windows to speak to each other one last before they hit the road.

"Lexi, I want to stay with me on the road at all times. Call me if you're tired of driving and need a break. Stay in touch. I'll call you every hour for updates and keep a check of your surroundings for him." Aaron told her after checking their surroundings for any suspicious movements.

"Bye Arrow! Love you!" Alexis told him after she nodded at his instructions.

"Bye Lexi, drive safe." He replied with a sad smile that conveyed a lot.

They had just started their journey to the next part of their lives. They both knew what was coming for them. They had been preparing for this for most of their lives now.

Alexis Stewart was just 18 and her life was already full of death threats. Her parents were murdered when she was 12 and she had been living with her older brother since then. Aaron Stewart who had just turned 24 had only two missions in life –

1. To avenge the death of his parents.

2. To keep Alexis, his only family safe.
