MAYA'S POV:
I don't know what I would've done if I was seen by Riley. She was mad when I told her I like him, so she would be beyond pissed if she saw me at his house.
"You going to school tomorrow?" Lucas asked.
"You think I can face Riley again? No way."
"Where will you go then?"
"I don't know, I guess I'll just go wherever my mind takes me,"

I was gone the next morning. I stayed at Lucas' place that night and I left before he woke up. I couldn't stay. I knew I couldn't. I won't turn around this time. I won't hide. I'll just walk. I'll walk further than before, and I'll make a new beginning. I'll start over.
