It was Monday morning in the Loud House which means it wasn't gonna be easy as usual. By now the Loud kids were all used to it though. After they all got dressed for school, they were all in the bathroom getting ready. Hair brushing, face washing, brushing their teeth, etc.

After that, they were eating breakfast that theirw dad made them. Eggs, bacon, and orange juice. Typical stuff.

Tgen they got all their stuff together. It was time to get out the door and go to school. Lori was on the phone with Bobby, the twins were arguing, Lisa was just standing there watching the twins fight and thinking "Where's the tranquillizing solution when you need it" and everyone else was just chatting, including Luna who was holding Lily.

After they got out the door, they all got in Lori's car to get driven to school.

"So Luna", said Lucy. "I was in my secret dark place writing poems and I overheard you talking about some new kid."

"You were eavesdropping on me and Luan?" Luna was looking at Lucy, who was sitting on one side of her, with one eyebrow raised.

"Sigh. Yes. Sometimes I can't help myself. Also I didn't know what to write poems about so I was just looking for stuff."

"Oh lord," said Lori.

"Speaking of which," Lucy looked over at Luna. "Wanna here the poem I wrote?"

"Um..I-"

Lucy cleared her throat and read aloud:

Something New

There comes a time when your lost in life and you don't expect a thing
And the universe changes in a different way; things are not the same

Something new
Change is never the same
Something new
See the world a different way
Something new
Exciting
Something new
Terrifying
Something new

Everyone was in awe afterwards.
It wasn't long before the car was filled with the sound of clapping.

"Wow," exclaimed Lincoln. "That was great!"

Not everyone was impressed, though.

"Ewww, so corny," said Lola.

"I know right," said Lana, in agreement.

"It's nice but," Luan looked down at her feet. She didn't want to hurt Lucy's feelings. "Isn't it a bit dramatic if you're talking about some new kid?"

"No," Lucy explained. "Because it is only inspired by a new kid. I changed it as if talking about changes in life in general."

"Good job, little sis. You seem to be improving. Keep up the great work."

"Thank you, Luna."

"What was the poem about, though? I didn't get it." Leni asked.
