Until the Last Page

Start from the beginning

I just continued walking until I reached the gate. Tears were still falling down my eyes making my vision a little bit blurry.

"Gen! Mag eexplain ako!" I heard him shout from behind me.

I don't need his explanation, right now. Because the pain was swollowing me.

I went outside the gate without any hesitations.

Wala akong pake kung magalit o mainis man siya. I don't care. He just used me. And now, my life's f*cked up.

I walked and walked down to nowhere when rain suddenly poured.

Oh crap! Pati ang panahon, nakikiayon sa nararamdaman ko.

Mas lalong lumabo ang paningin ko.

Di pa rin ako natigil sa pag-iyak. Sumisigaw sigaw pa ako.

"DIE! YOU MOTHERF*CKER LIARS!! I HATE YOU JAKE!"

I decided to run and run down the road.

When suddenly, a bright light flashed on my face.

The light was painful, until I felt numb. And I don't know what happened next.

"Yah! You told me you will tell everything? Why did you read what was written on my notebook?"

I yelled at him but not that much loud.

"It's because this one tells your story." He said, with a sad smile.

What? My story?

"W-what did you mean?"

He stood up and held my hand. I saw little tears fell from his eyes. What did I do?

"You never remembered. I was helping you finish this story, everyday." sabi niya. Tears were still falling from his eyes.

"And?"

"Gen, I-I'm sorry. For everything. I'm sorry, for making you feel stupid that day. If it wasn't because of me, You shouldn't have been here. If I didn't lied to you, you won't be enganged in this situation. It was all my fault Genevieve. I'm sorry!" I hugged him because I felt his pain.

tears were also starting to form in my eyes.

"Ssh. It's over. Everything happened. We can't bring it back."

I said while trying to stop my tears.

He let go of my hug and looked at my eyes.

"Kung alam mo lang Genevieve kung gaano ka nasaktan noon, you would totally loathe me to death." I looked at him with confusion.

he said he was helping me finish the story? So it means, what was written on the notebook were true?

I read the notebook's last page and found out that it has no ending.

"Jake, can you help me finish this one?" I said trying to ease his pain, and my pain.

he smiled at me.

"Of course" I smiled back but suddenly,

"AAAAAAAAAH!" I screamed in pain. My head. It hurts! So much!

I was helplessly crying in pain.

"GENEVIEVE! DOC! ASSISTANCE!"

my vision was getting blurry, and all I can see was a silhouette of a guy, Jake.

"GEN!" He shouted.

I already felt numb, like how the story ended but not yet finished.

He held my hand.

"GEN! WAKE UP!" He said. My vision were already useless.

I can no longer speak, nor smell, nor feel.

But I could still hear.

"GEN!" The voice was getting lower in volume.

"DOC! SI GENEVIEVE!" I heard a few more sound coming from different people.

"OH GOD! GEN, ANAK!"

I heard crying.

"GEN, DON'T LEAVE ME!" said he.

Until my hearing finally gave up, after he said those words.

"Gen, I love you." It was a whisper. A whisper from someone I loved, I love, and I will always love.

*JAKE*

I woke up again, in a very bright place. I motioned my eyes and tried to look around me.

Everything was white.

Until I saw someone standing right in front of me.

He offered His hand and I gladly accepted it.

We walked and entered a very beautiful gate. And as we entered the place, everything felt real.

I felt that He was real. And He will never leave me, this time.

Ibinaba ko ang ballpen na lagi niyang gimagamit para dagdagan ang nakasulat sa notebook niya.

Buong storya niya, ako ang nagsulat. Akala ko pa naman, sabay naming tatapusin ang kwentong ito.

But I was wrong.

Gaya nang pagtapos ko sa relasyon namin, I was also the one who will end this story.

Tumingin tingin ako sa paligid at nilanghap ang sariwang hangin.

"Gen, I miss you." i mumbled. Alam kong anytime ay tutulo na ang luha ko.

"Ssh. It's over. Everything happened. We can't bring it back.".

I heard her voice at the back of my head.

"yeah. We can't bring it back. But I hope, it will never be forgotten. My love for you, Genevieve, will never fade. I know you will never forget this love of us. Same to me. I love you."

I caressed the marble plate in front of me.
