"Up! Up! These crepes won't eat themselves." Mum yelled into her daughters' rooms. Trudging down the hall, Aurora yawned, widening her eyes, she realized something. "Today I'm going to Diagon Alley!" "Yes, yes, unless you don't eat. Now eat." Mum said, pushing a plate full of strawberry cream crepes with a side of fruits and milk.
" Oh, what would we do without you?" Selene asked, setting herself at the table, eyeing her plate. "Honestly, I don't think you would survive." Mum replied. "Agreed." The sisters said in unison.

"Are you ready to head down to Diagon Alley?" Papa asked, shrugging his coat on. "Yup." Aurora answered. Slipping on her shoes, she went down to the fireplace in the living room, where the rest of the family of four stood. "You know the drill for floo powder. And remember, the incantation is-" "Diagon Alley" Selene and Aurora cut in. "Yes we remember. Though I must say, they just released the Mystic Looking Glass in Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes and I have to get it before it runs out." Selene said. "I've heard that it tells your future accurately like the eye color of your future partner too." Selene was on her knees by now. "Can I please get it? There is only a small stock and everyone is anticipating it. Please?!? I'll write to you 4 times a week. I'll tell you who's in the lead for the house cup and everything." Mum pursed her lips. It was a hard bargain. They had always persisted Selene to write to them in Hogwarts. Asking what it was like, who's house was in the lead, if she had any detentions and were they feeding their eldest daughter enough? And most importantly, who was in the lead for the quidditch cup. Like Aurora, they were very interested in the sport, resulting little quidditch matches in the backyard. "Everything?" Mum asked. "Anything you want to know." "How much does it cost?" "Three galleons exactly. Tax and all." Mum took out three shiny galleons and placed them in Selene's hand. "No more, no less. Speaking of which, Aurora, here is some money for the robes and books. I'll meet you at Ollivander's for your wand an hour later, ok?" Mum placed many round galleons in Aurora's hand. And with the shout of "Diagon Alley!" and the throw of floo powder, she was gone.

The rest of the family followed suit. The ride there felt like the inside of her was being bent and twisted and transported to another place, though Aurora wasn't surprised because this was what was essentially happening.

All of a sudden she was in Diagon Alley. The Diagon alley. There was a buzz of life with people chatting, entering and exiting shops. People were licking acid pops on the fronts of shops and showing off their new robes with much glee. "Wow." Aurora whispered. "First stop, Madam Malkin's Robes for all occasions." She said to herself walking into the shop. "Why hello, dear. I'm Madam Malikin. What can I help you with?" An eldery lady with a neat bun came into view. "I'm looking for robes for Hogwarts." Aurora kindly responded. "Ah, you must be a first year." Aurora nodded. "Come here, come here." Madam Malkin took different robes into the view. She started measuring and tampering with the threads and cloths around the sleeves once she placed it on Aurora. 10 minutes later she was done. She smiled at her work. "These pairs of robes should fit you like a charm." "Thank you." Aurora said, grinning. "How much will it be?" "12 galleons and 8 knuts." Aurora placed the amount in her hand and bid her farewell. "One destination done." Aurora murmured to herself. Now all she had to do was get her books which should only take 20 minutes, and seeing as she had only taken 20 minutes for Madam Malkin's meaning there was 20 minutes left that she could spare. As she passed into Florish and Blotts muttering different places she could go to, she heard a voice.

"Do you always talk to yourself?" She turned her head around to look at a boy who was about her age with messy raven locks and warm brown eyes. He smirked. "I've finally got your attention, now haven't I? All I've got to do is open my mouth and it makes the ladies go wild." "I'm not going wild. Also, who are you? I've never seen you before. And why are you following me?" Aurora stopped to an abrupt stop causing the boy to walk into her, stumbling. "You don't know who I am? You can't tell by features ( my devilishly handsome features might I add ) on who I might be? Come on now, everyone knows who my parents are." "Well it looks like it's not everyone then is it?" "Do you even look at the news books or the newest edition of Wizard Heroes?" "Pfft. No. I prefer quidditch books and cooking books. But now that I think of it, you do look a lot like Ginny Potter, chaser of the Holyhead Harpies." "Well, you got one parent right at least. My dad is Harry Potter, making me his son, James Sirius Potter. The son of the boy who lived." He made weird sound effects as if he was signaling dramatic applause. "Ooh great job kid, you won the parent jackpot." Aurora said sarcastically, waving her hands. "What prize would you like?" James put a hand to his chin, pretending to ponder, "Well I would like a kiss, but I doubt that will happen. How about your name?" Aurora's cheeks heated up. "My name is Aurora E. Beliveau." "What does the E stand for?" "That's for me to know and you to find out. Look we've made it to Florish and Blotts. Now I can go get some real work done and you can go away." She smiled at him and walked inside. "Well it just so happens that I have a few book to buy." James grinned smugly." I guess we can't have everything then." Aurora sighed in defeat.

Once she walked out (Alone, for James had to leave due to "The arrival of Mystic Looking Glass had came and he didn't want to miss out") with all her books and robes purchased, she realized that she had 7 minutes left to get to Ollivander's. The prat that James was had taken up all her time with lame pick up lines and making fun of the shop keeper behind his back. Though secretly, she enjoyed his company, but she wouldn't dare tell a soul. She made her way to Ollivander's in 5 minutes tops and had 2 minutes left to spare. She glanced around the shop and was shocked to see that rows upon rows of wands took up the walls. There were all types of wands. Wands labeled redwood and unicorn hair core 13 ½ inches and some with the cores of a phoenix or heck, even a mermaid at one point. All varying different sizes. "Admiring the wands, aren't we?" She spun around to see an old man in his maybe late 60s looking at her. "And who are you? I've never given your parents their wand before." "I'm-I'm" Aurora started. "My daughter, Aurora Benoveau." Mum came in, right on time as the punctual lady she is. "I've never given you your wand, have I?" "Well I would think not. I've got my wand from the top notch Wand Maker in France. Though I've hear you're the best in all of Great Britain so I'd like to see how true those reviews are." Mum said, her voice crisp. Aurora always admired how poised her mother held up, even in the oddest or more tense conversations.

Ollivander nodded his head in agreement. "Yes, yes. Now on with those wands." He murmured as he busied himself as he looked to find ideal wands. "Try this one." Ollivander said pulling out a wand from a box. "It's chestnut with unicorn hair as the core. Approximately 14 and ¾ inches." Aurora tapped the wand. Their was a boom of explosions and she was left covered in soot. "No, no." He murmured. He pulled out a short wand. "You're average size but I think this wand might work for you. It's Phoenix core with Elmwood. Approximately 13 inches." Aurora tapped the wand as she did previously. Again she was covered in soot. This process repeated many, many times before suddenly- "Aha! I think that I know the perfect wand for you, dear." He mumbled to himself excitedly as he looked for a specific wand. He finally pulled out a long wand with a smooth finish. "This one has the hair of a veela, which I assume may be the hair of your grandmother? It also has the wood of aspen which is the wand for those who have the making of a revolutionary. These wands work best in duels, and is excellent for charmwork. Those who own these wands are generally strong-minded and determined. A character that you seem to strike me as. Here, try it." Ollivander said as he passed Aurora the wand. As soon as she took grasp of it, she felt warmth course through her veins. Her hair flooded all around her in a beautiful halo. As she tapped the air with her wand, fireworks filled the air. "How did that feel?" Ollivander asked. "It felt....amazing." She whispered eyes full of excitement. "I believe that is your wand then. " He smiled. "That'll be 8 galleons, please."

As they left, Mrs. Benoveau's eyes were filled with wonder. "How did he know your grandmother is a veela?" "Well they call him the best wandmaker for a reason then, don't they? Speaking of which, do I have any powers from my grandmother?" "To be honest, I haven't seen you show any powers yet, but you are a very good looking young lady thanks to those veela genes of yours. I also wouldn't be surprised if you were able to withstand higher heat temperatures than others because of the fact that veela were able to throw fire." "Nice." As they stood outside of the Three Broomsticks, Papa and Selene made their way towards them. Selene's face was flushed. "They had so many ..new .. items .. in stock...so many.." Her arms were full of bags as she bent for a breather. "I had to stop her from leaking our bank account of money." Papa informed.

Mum stared at Selene. "I'm assuming that she had a nice time." "Oh she did."

The family was soon back home and as Selene recounted her shopping extravaganza, she talked on and on about the different sets they had and the new arrivals and how fast everything went out of stock as soon as they opened the doors, but she was able to get plenty of merchandise. Aurora talked about how her day went, ("though I assure you it's nothing to compared to yours") but she kept the son of the chosen one to herself.
