Maya's Pov *it was Tuesday night and I sat there, in my room, at my desk writing lyrics in my song book and doing my homework *my sister came in my room with a camera in her hand (Sarah) "Here she is, in her native habitat." (Me) "No. Sarah, not now." (Sarah) "An eager, free-spirited artist. Ready to share her songs with the world." *she opens my drawer and try's to get the camera to look at my songs (Me) "Seriously, stop it!" *i close my drawer (Me) "Can I not have five seconds of privacy?" *she points the camera to me (Me) "Sarah! You know I don't like it when you sneak up on me like that." (Sarah) "Cool it M. I come in peace." (Me) "Two things. First of all, your hair is a total mess. As always.." *i grab her camera and face it to her (Sarah) "It's supposed to be like that." (Me) "Really?" *i giggle and she nods her head (Me) "Hanging in front of your face?" *i raise my eyebrows (Me) "Literally poking you in the eyeballs!?" (Sarah) "Everyone wears it like this. Trust me! It's cute." (Me) "Yeah. Okay, well, this is better" *i put her bangs in back of her ears (Me) "Look, I can see you. There you are" *she waves her hair and puts her bangs back to the way it was (Sarah) "Okay, whatever. What's the second thing?" *she takes the camera back and faces it to me again (Me) "I don't like being on camera!" *I grab the camera and she starts laughing (Me) "Get out. Get out!" (Sarah) "Stop!" *she's still laughing (Me) "Turn it off." (Sarah) "No!" *smiling (Me) "Off!!" (Sarah) "Ugh! Fine!" *she turns the camera off (Me) "Now get out of my room! Let me get dressed!" (Sarah) "Dressed? Where are you going?" *she raises her eyebrows (Me) "Bed Sarah. I'm getting dressed for bed! Now get out!!" *i push her out of my room (Sarah) "Ugh! Okay fine. Dinners ready by the way. So hurry up!" (Me) "Yeah yeah." *i shut my door and locked it *i walked to get my pj's out from my closet and I started changing *i walked downstairs and saw my mom getting the forks and spoons for the food and talking to my sister ~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~ (Maya's Life Thoughts) My mom and I haven't really been talking much... Ever since she went out with this guy and left us by ourselves one night and got drunk and had came back the next morning, not even remembering that she had left us there. Maya's Pov *i hid behind the bars of the stairs and started listening to their conversation Sarah's Pov (Katy) "Where's your sister?" (Me) "She's upstairs getting ready for bed. She'll be down here soon" (Katy) "Still not talking to me?" (Me) "Ever since." *i looked down at the counter and grabbed the plates (Katy) "Sarah. You know how sorry I am for that night, don't you?" (Me) "Yeah mom, I get it.. But I'm not sure if Maya gets it. Mom, you know how much you've hurt her for doing that. And, I mean, if I was her, I wouldn't forgive you either. She was only 8. I'm not going to blame M for not forgiving you either." *i walked away with the plates and put them on the table Maya's Pov *i stayed there, behind the bars of the stairs, and started tearing *i wiped away my tears and ran up stairs quietly and closed my door behind me and started crying

*i wiped away my tears and took a deep breath and opened my door. I walked downstairs and tried not to look sad (Me) "I'm here." (Sarah) "Oh! Good. Food's on the table. I'll serve you right now." *she smiles (Me) "Sarah, I'm not a little baby anymore. I'm 16 now. You're only two years older than me" *i started laughing (Sarah) "Right! Sorry! But as your big sister, I'm basically your legal guardian if anything ever happens to mom." *she raises her eyebrows and smiles (Me) "Right. Well, you basically are now. Because I don't even think I have a mom." *i look at my mom and roll my eyes and walk to the table *we all ate peacefully, but kind of awkwardly, because we just sat there quietly eating. *we all finished eating and I stayed downstairs helping Sarah wash the dishes while mom went upstairs to sleep. (Sarah) "Hey. Thanks for helping me." (Me) "Yah, well mom's never the one cleaning the house, so who else is going to help you with all of this stuff?" *i start laughing (Sarah) "M. You have to talk to mom. Okay? That wasn't cool or nice of you to say that about mom earlier." *my laugh went away (Me) "Sarah. I'm, just, not that same little girl I was when you used to take care of me. Okay? I'm, 16 now. And I know I have to talk to mom someday. And I will. But I'm just, not sure it's right now." *i started tearing (Sarah) "Yeah I know. I just, I just don't want you to stay mad at her forever" *she wipes away my tears and I take her hand off gently (Me) "I won't. So, I'm done with my side of the dishes. I'm going to sleep now. We have school tomorrow." *i go upstairs and go in the bathroom *i wash my face and brush my teeth, and then go to my room and go to sleep ••••>>••••>>••••>>••••>>••••>>••••>>•••• WOAH!!😱 It's finally 8:30 am!!!
