My heart pounds
Cold and clammy
In a dark corner I hide
From the world
From the prying eyes of others
That seem to look harmlessly
But I can feel them
I can feel the judgement
The opinions, and the harsh looks
Hold nothing but resentment
Resentment from those who
Don't understand
From those with their hooded eyes
That refuse to see the real picture
The big picture
They only see the differences
That separates me from 'the norm'
And secludes me from the world
So here I sit
My heart pounds
Cold and clammy
In a dark corner, I still hide.-Felicity Finney
