He once laughed
And I did too.
                          He once cried
From all the pain
He once showed strength
He pulled it together again
                          He once pushed
The cancer down
He once beat it
He wore the crown

                          He once feared
The thought of death
He once let out
A long strained breath
                          He once made 
A sour face 
He once told me
"This one takes the cake"
                          He once said
Dont cry please
He once made 
My life at ease
                          But now its over
The things he once did
And it kills me
He was just a kid
                          He once smiled
He once grew
He once laughed
And I did too...
