Author's Note

HELLO! it's me the creator of the beginning of this story! Don't worry there is more to come! Just some things you might need to know before we move on in my first original story!

First thing first.... the backstory.
  Thesal is a dimension of people that can hold certain powers, like wizards. It is a Greek mythology like place, and unlike being a wizard you need to gain the strength to have those powers. Thesal had just gotten out of a huge war that ended 2 years before the story, making the antagonist, Malutni, the 'king' ( more like crazy Hitler dictator) of Thesal. In the war his army of goons killed the king and his family.
Ephidora was very loyal to the old King and was a big part of his parliament. She is one of the most powerful in Thesal, so she also served  as a knight if needed. She was demoted as soon as Malutni came into power, and is is neither part of the parliament or a knight. She is now just an aristocrat that works on her own means. She cannot go against Malutni, because in the days of the old King she swore her loyalty to whatever King in power, which she thought would be the King and the his son in the long line of royalty.
  The unknown prophet made her prophecy just 2 months before Ephidora became pregnant (I'm not gonna say who the baby daddy is). It turns out the baby was going to be born stillborn, so, the powerful person Ephidora is, tried to revive her soul. She did, but not successfully. All the hatred and negative thoughts in her were forced away from everything else, almost fragmenting her soul. ( a fragmented soul is awful, you die and cannot go to Heaven or Hell, and can only suffer for eternity of the pain of your soul being ripped apart). 
   What Ephidora was doing with her baby, Emmeline ( if you didn't figure this out yourself), was taking the soul out of her baby's body, subduing the evil, and sending her soul into another body in another realm, or dimension. Most people can't do any of this, especially open up a portal to another dimension. But as I said before, Ephidora is very powerful. She needed to have a body that didn't have a soul yet, so she could let her child's soul exist there. There isn't really any other way anyone could exist in another dimension without doing that. She put her baby's hair in there so it leads her to a body as young as her baby that didn't have a soul yet. If you want to know what happened that we didn't see, when Emmeline's soul entered the unborn baby's body that was inside of the red haired woman, and the woman immediately went into labor.
   Also, Emmeline's tail in her soul state is the thing that links her to her body. As soon as she went into the body of the unborn child, she became linked with that body.
