"In middle school, we were learning how to dance with partners. The teacher instructed the class to place our hands on each other's, and when we hesitantly did so, it seemed like time stopped. As everyone began the dance, your father and I stood there, wide-eyed, looking at our surroundings. The world exploded with different colors. The boring blacks, whites and everything in between, turned into reds, blues and everything beyond. I can still faintly remember our teachers saying to one another, they've finally found each other." his mother said, her one-year-old son in her arms. He was fast asleep, clutching on her shirt for dear life. She smiled softly and placed him in his crib.

"I've only heard rumors of people meeting their soulmate but being rejected. But my little Minghao, that's not going to happen with you. you're one of the loveliest boys I've ever met."

She kissed his forehead and slowly closed his bedroom door, letting her son have some sleep. Minghao wasn't aware of what she said, but something in his heart told him to believe in his mother.
