DINNER WITH THE PRINCE

The weeks following Victoria being back in my arms were crazy. And by crazy I meant that Uncle Ricker and Max had guards following me everywhere I went from going to the grocery store to the mall and even to the park. Today is no exception even if I was driving to the castle to formally meet his family and his kingdom. The kids were extremely exited because they get to see Max and maybe his niece and nephew if their mother would allow them to play with them. That was the only thing they ever talked about for the past 5 days since I told them.

"Wow" I heard at three say as they gasped while looking out the window as the castle came into view and I smiled.

"Mama does Mr. Prince live here?" Jackson asked and I nodded as I parked the car behind one of Uncle Ricker's guards and behind my car, Anthony- Max's friend and guard-parked his car. I was about to knock on the door when it flew open with Max smiling on the other side of the door.

"You made it" he said and I just nodded with a smile of my own

"I did and you should have your guard back, I believe you'll need him more than I will" I said as he lead us inside and he shook his head

"I would be more relieved if you had him around specially with the rogues coming around more" he replied making me sigh. Three days after Victoria was found, there have been a number of rogue sightings outside of the pack lands

"I already have the pack watching me I don't think I need another shadow, Max" I retorted and he sighed turning around to face me, we we're currently in his study, the kids were outside playing with the other kids his niece and nephew being among them, and I needed him to see reason that I already have enough guards watching over me that I don't need another one.

"I would be much less worried if you had Anthony around with you it'd give me a piece of mind to know that you and the kids are protected. The pack may be strong but Anthony is far more stronger then them" he stated

"So you're saying just because my pack is not of royalty that they are not strong? Are you saying they are weak just because they are not your guards?" I asked in disbelief and he groaned

"That's not what I'm saying, Jax" he replied making me raise a brow

"That's what you are saying, Max, even though you do not use those exact words you are implying that the Royal blood Pack are weak" I said

"If it makes you feel better, then I'll remove Anthony as your guard" He said after a while of debating with himself and I smiled

"Thank you, that's all I wanted" I said and he nodded walking over to me and cupping my cheeks in his

"I just want you to be careful, Jax. Your pack may be strong but once the rogues get wind that the Crowned Prince of the wolves has found his mate, they will stop at nothing to kill you. "He said with a worried frown and it warmed my heart to see how worried he was of the kids and myself.I reached up and placed my hands on top his and smiled

"I know, Max and I appreciate your concern" I murmured and he nodded, kissing my forehead before we decided to let the subject go and head down stairs to spend time with his family.

"Where's Alanna?" Max questioned

"She was banned from the kingdom after I found her with one of the guards in our room" Xavier, his older brother, replied making me blink

"You should have gotten rid of her when you had the chance, brother" Max said and Prince Xavier simply shrugged his shoulders

"Shall I fetch the children, your highness?" One of the servants asked and the Prince nodded his head and so with that, the maid left the dinning room
