all we are is bones
simple anatomical structures
crafted so we don't destroy everything
in our path
bones are too weak to hurt
too fragile
if we were anything more than bones
we would be people people with
poison thoughts
with toxic words that should cease to
be spoken
with minds that would be broken
people with unfathomable words
with distracting ways
people with emotions people with
strength
people who could breathe and live
and we never want that to be so all
we are is bones
because bones don't
destroy
but people do
