"What do you want to do? We can play pong? Pac-Man? Eat Twinkies? Try out the new game I got? Oh oh what about---"

"Peter," you laughed, "Slow down," the fast, silver-haired boy had a habit of talking a million miles a minute, forgetting that you talked much slower than him.

He blushed a little & flashed you a goofy grin, "Sorry cupcake, I forgot," he suddenly sped over to you, sitting down next to you on his couch, "What do you want to do?" he questioned, slower this time, & with a mischievous twinkle in his eye.

You laughed, "Whatever you want Pete, as long as it's not illegal," he pouted playfully, sighing dramatically.

"Well there go all my plans," he sped back over to his ping pong table, playing himself again.

You rolled your eyes & sighed, "Peter, you need to be more careful. Your mom puts up with a lot but everyone has a breaking point."

He sighs, "I know, I know. I just can't help it."

You got up & grabbed a paddle, joining him & making him grin, "Just try to take it down a notch, okay? Like at least stop taking high end items. Just stick with the Twinkies."

He rolled his eyes as the two of you hit the ball back & forth, "Alright Mom jeez."

You glared at him playfully & hit the ball sharply to his left. He blinked as it flew right past him.

He missed.

He narrowed his eyes at you, "It's on."

You grinned.

An epic ping pong match ensued & you were both neck & neck. He may be fast, but you were excellent at the game. You weren't gifted in the athletic department, but any sport that required a paddle or racket of some sort, you kicked ass. You grew up playing ping pong with your uncle & he happened to be a ping pong pro player, so you learned all his tricks & skills. That later went on to work for other racket-involved sports, like tennis & badminton. Peter always loved a challenge & he was always determined to beat you, although that has yet to happen. You always end up in a tie, since you both always have to forfeit on account of Peter getting unbearably hungry. But not today.

It had been over an hour & the two of you were still going. This game was doing wonders for Peter's quick boredom. He tended to get bored very quickly & very easily with everything, which caused problems not only for him but for others too. It isolated him because people couldn't handle it. For them, he was just too much of a childish hastle, but not for you. You always found his silly antics entertaining, & his short attention span was refreshing, in a way. He always kept you on your toes, one of the many things you loved about him. He was a lot of fun to be around, to say the least, & his always cheery & sarcastic attitude always put you in a good mood. Peter was a wonderful friend & individual, & you thought everyone else who didn't realize that was an idiot; however, you weren't complaining, because that meant that he was spending all his time with you & only you.

Suddenly, the loud rumbling you had come to know as the speedster's stomach echoed throughout the basement. You grinned, "Ready to call it quits, Maximoff?"

He shook his head, "Nuh uh no way not until I kick your cute butt."

You smirked & the game continued. He was always so stubborn, but that was just another trait of his that you loved. You smiled to yourself. You realy did love him, even though he was probably the biggest dork & idiot on this whole planet. Even the way you two met was absolute idiocy, but you were thankful for it every day. You had just moved into the neighborhood, bringing in boxes into your new home that happened to be next to Peter's. He was quite the nosy boy, so when he heard new neighbors were moving in, he had to check it out. Of course, you didn't know he had powers at the time, but that didn't stop him from using them to spy on you. He watched you unload box after box, intrigued. You were different from all the other teenagers around here. Your style was different, your music taste was different, even the way you walked was different, & he loved all of it. He found you so fascinating after only watching you for a few minutes, but what really sealed the deal was him noticing the Pink Floyd shirt you were wearing. At that, he quickly sped over to you, eager to say hello to his cool new neighbor. Unfortunately, he forgot about the strong gusts of wind that followed him, & he knocked a heavy box right onto your foot before he could even introduce himself. He apologized profusely as obscenities left your lips at an alarmingly fast rate, even for him, but you were never mad at him. After a trip to the ER, he took you out for ice cream the next day & helped you set up your new room, which only made him approve of you more because of all the "sick stuff" & "rad posters" you had. Since then, you'd been the best of friends & still were, even though the two of you had officially started dating a few months ago.
