You had known the sextuplets in high school, yes, but you had never visited their house before. It was a cozy, old-looking building tucked in between two much taller buildings. It had a homey feel to it.

After a brief introduction to their mom and dad, you followed the six matsus into the living room and sat around a small table. It wasn't super cramped, but you were pressed up against Choromatsu and Todomatsu on either side.

Osomatsu spoke first. "(Y/N), where have you been? I remember you moving senior year, right?"

"Yeah," you told him with a small smile. "We moved to America."

He seemed interested. "Wow, does that mean you can speak English?"

"Yep! I kinda had to learn, considering nobody in America really knows any Japanese."

"Karamatsu-nii san can speak some English, too!" Jyushimatsu announced proudly.

"Really?" You said, looking over at Karamatsu, who sat more or less directly opposite you. Despite being indoors his eyes were still covered by his shades and upon you looking at him he turned his head to the side quickly. "Is that right?"

Karamatsu said nothing and it was absolutely silent. Suddenly he seemed to regain his composure and slid off his sunglasses, revealing colored contacts. "Heh," he said with an overly egotistical smile. He put his finger on his chin, making a gun shape with his hand, and looked at you with sparkling eyes. "Of course I can. Are you impressed, my karamatsu girl~?"

For a moment you had no words. He stayed in that pose. All of his brothers seemed to completely ignore this eccentric behavior. You let out a laugh. It was hilarious to you. He didn't act anything like that in high school; he was so different from the karamatsu you knew. When you stopped laughing and looked back over to him, his dazzling smile had faltered slightly, taking on a more pained look.

"I know right!" Osomatsu said, elbowing Karamatsu. Osomatsu clutched his side. "Ow ow ow, so painful! I think you broke my rib!" And he too laughed.

Karamatsu's smile completely vanished at that point and his gaze slid to the table. He made no other move.

"No, that's not what I was laughing at!" You assured him. He looked back up at you, waiting for further explanation. "It's just that you've changed so much since I saw you last, and that front you're putting on is pretty funny."

"It's not a front," the blue matsu said immediately, then put his glasses back on, flashing another smile and flipping his hair. "This is the true Matsuno Katsmatsu."

You giggled again. "Alright, if you say so." In all honesty you were just glad that he wasn't being stone silent towards you like he was when you first talked to the brothers today and on the walk to their house as well.
