You know sometimes life isn't fair. It doesn't go the way you plan sometimes, and it can be crappy. Well, let me introduce myself before I get too carried away about how life can be unfair. My names are Allison Marie Caldwell. I'm currently living with my wacky brained aunt and my brother who is 21 by the way. I moved in with my aunt when I was six years old because my parents die in a car accident. We lived in New Orleans ever since I was little. I'm currently a senior at Chalmette High School. It's a preparatory school close to the bayou where my house is located. I have long wavy brown hair, piercing green eyes, porcelain skin, and oh yeah, I'm psychic. I have this ability ever since I was a baby but didn't start showing signs until I was two. I began talking to ghost and that's when I noticed that I was different from the other kids my age. The only ones who don't think I'm weird are my aunt, my brother, Josh, and my bestie in the whole world, Lily. She's into everything supernatural since we practically live in one of the most haunted cities in America. She's seen every episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer to date. She even watches the reruns. She really is obsessed with anything out of the norm, so it was destiny that she became one of my friends. There are downsides to having these powers like knowing what all the guys think of you and the horrible crimes are willing to commit but Lily says always be on the positive side, so I'll try. Today, we are starting our first day of our senior year at high school. The only bad thing so far about this day is that there's a new kid.
"Lily, I'm not feeling so good today. Can't we just skip school and come back in a couple weeks"
"No! It's the first day of our senior year. How could you not be doing your happy dance right now?"
"Well, you deal with all this voices in your head talking about the new guy"
"OH! A new guy. Is he hot? Come on. Don't skimp out on me now. I need details women. Where is he?"
"Chill out women. He's over at Elisha table with her and her cheerleading minions. I swear sometimes she has magical powers that seem to draw even the strongest of man in"
"We'll never be able to get his attention now. Not with the head b in charge pawing over him"
"I don't know. Maybe she isn't his type. I could investigate his mind and check out what he thinks of her"
"That's a brilliant idea. I knew your power was good for something. Do It"
I sat there and turned towards his direction. I looked over to where Elisha and her minions were cackling and making a lot of noise and focused on the guys with the piercing cerulean eyes. All I got in return was nothing. No whispers, no hint of thoughts being processed, nada. I looked back over to Lily and gave her my most surprised face ever.
"I can't read anything. It's like he has no brain or something"
"That's weird. The only time that happens is when... No, it can't be"
"What can't be? Lily, have you lost your rocker?"
"He's something not natural like supernatural"
"Like any of that's real"
"I think you and josh are real or do I have imaginary friends?"
"Of come of it, Lily. Yes, we know I can't read josh because he's what he is. Until we find out what this guy is, neither of us are going anywhere near him"
"You've got to be kidding me"
"You said it yourself. He could be something supernatural and until we are sure that he's not dangerous, I don't want you around him"
"You know if you're going to talk about someone, you might need to learn how to be a little quieter" The Mysterious new guy whispered behind my ear.
"And you shouldn't be sneaking in on people's conversations when it's none of your business"
